DELHI GOVERNMENT IS MISLEADING THE PEOPLE BY PUBLISHING ADVERTISEMENTS AT THE COST OF PUBLIC EXCHEQUER - BJP 

New Delhi, 6th Nov. BJP has accused Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit of misleading the people on the issue of electricity by presenting misleading data and completely misusing power. 

In a joint statement, BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta and Leader of the Opposition in Legislative Assembly Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra have said that it is the old habit of the Congress Party that when election approaches it tries to mislead the people by issuing confusing advertisements and attractive promises so that the innocent people may be entrapped in the jugglery of words by the Congress. The way in which the people have taught Congress Party a lesson in the Municipal Corporation elections, the same way they shall take revenge from the Congress in the elections to Delhi Assembly and Lok Sabha. 

Both the leaders told that people of Delhi have understood the reality of the Congress Government during the last 14 years. Delhi Government benefited the power companies by conniving with them but the people have been made poorer by hefty power bills. Today the common man in Delhi has to spend 50 percent of his income to pay the power-water bills. The Government has put burden of so many taxes on the people that India does not look like a democratic country and that a democratically elected Government is working here. 

BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta told that had the Government been in favour of the people then today the power tariff should have been decreased by 23 percent. Former Chairman of DERC Brijendra Singh had passed orders for such decrease on the 3rd May, 2010. This order was to be published on the 5th May, 2010. In the mean time Delhi Government and power companies together prevented the DERC from decreasing power tariff. The new Chairman of DERC P.D. Sudhakar started working in favour of power companies. The result is that crores of people of Delhi are suffering due to hefty power bills. 

Shri Gupta further told that the people of Delhi have already understood the political tactics of Central and Delhi Governments. This Government has lost the trust of the people. If the Government had any morality then it should have resigned. Unfortunately there is no place for the words like morality idealism Public Welfare, Social Welfare etc. in the dictionary on the Congress Party. This Government is writing new definitions of corruptions, loot and scams every day. The Congress Governments of Delhi and centre shall be among the most corrupt Governments in the history of India. 

Tax Evasion of 1,000 crore rupees found during the Commonwealth Games

PRIME MINISTER SHOULD TAKE STERN ACTION AFTER THE CASE OF TAX EVASION COMES TO LIGHT - VIJENDER GUPTA

New Delhi, 5th Nov. BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has said that after the detection of tax evasion of 1000 crore rupees by the CVC in the Commonwealth Games held in 2010, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should order the Home Ministry to start legal action and send the guilty persons to jail so that the white collared people who are responsible for tax evasion may be punished.

He told that before this the CAG, CVC, CBI, Income Tax Department, Excise Department, Foreign Exchange Department, Export-Import Department etc. had exposed bungling of thousands of crores in the Commonwealth Games, but only small players have been apprehended whereas the big players are scot free. 

Delhi Government had executed various lower level works of about 25 thousand crore rupees in the Commonwealth Games. Many works are still incomplete due to which entire Connaught Place is dug up. The cost of these incomplete works had increased 10 times but the persons responsible for it have not been punished. Many political persons, officers of Delhi Government are involved in it. Government knows about it but action has not been started.

Shri Gupta further told that the Prime Minister had said yesterday in the rally of Congress Party that we have to arrange for funds for development. But he did not tell that why he has not taken any action against the high profile guilty persons? During the CWG, Delhi Government had disregarded all the rules and laws. All the works were found to be completed in haste and of low standard. Many works have not been completed but payments have been made for them.

Now the CVC in its report has exposed income tax evasion, service tax evasion and VAT evasion. If the Prime Minister has to keep the credibility of the Government intact then he should order for a time bound enquiry into this evasion so that the people may have trust in the legal system of India. CVC and CBI are directly under the Prime Minister and the he is himself responsible for the inaction of these agencies.

RESOLVE TO FIGHT DECISIVE BATTLE TO DISLOGE CONGRESS GOVERNMENT - BJP 

Today BJP organise big Public Meeting and Demonstrations at 14 prominent places of Delhi to protest against FDI and created awareness against FDI. Many senior leaders participated in the public meeting of Delhi and attend the anti people, anti national and anti trade-farmer policy of the Government. BJP leaders told that the Congress is guilty conscious. Hence it has organised public meeting in support of FDI and unsuccessfully tried to mislead the people. But the people are conscious and they are not going to be misled by the words of Congress. The people of India will teach such a lesson for allowing FDI that it will be worse defeat than the route in 1977. 

Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta led the demonstration today. S.Shri Kalraj Mishra, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Balbir Punj, Bhupender Yadav, Shyam Jaju, Bhagat Singh Khoshiyari, Vijya Kumar Malhotra, Vijay Goel, Aarti Mehra, Vani Tripathi etc. senior leaders addressed the people on this occasion. 

In today's Public Meetings and Demonstration from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm, large number of local traders, citizens, youth and party workers staged strong demonstration and resolved that they shall not allow FDI in the country. The workers staged protest demonstration at Durgapuri Chowk, Jalebi Chowk, Sultanpuri, Kingsway Camp Chowk, Jwalahedi Market, Paschim Vihar, Madhuban Chowk Vikas Marg, Tilak Nagar Market, Kamla Nagar Main Market, Govindpuri Main Road, Uttam Nagar Terminal, Narela, Azmal Khan Road, New Ashok Nagar, Sewa Nagar Railway Crossing, Kailashpuri Chowk Palam etc. places and raised slogans against the Government and condemned Manmohan Government for its anti national and anti traders decision. 

Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta told in a public meeting at Lalgodam Narela that the Congress Government is aware that it is not going to come to power again. Hence it has allowed FDI in the retail trade to ruing retail trade in India under foreign pressure. It will have far reaching and adverse constituency. Lakhs of youth of the country shall lead life like slave after the FDI enter the country. There will be severe unemployment and the farmers and traders of the country will become slave of foreign companies. Here the economy will be under the control of companies like East India once again. Foreign companies shall force farmers to do the farming in accordance with their conditions. The crop cycle will also be broken. Companies shall create artificial scarcity of items of daily need which will lead to culture of exploitation and 120 crore people of the country will be forced to be looted by them. 

Shri Gupta told that the way in which Congress Government of Delhi has welcomed FDI indicates that Delhi Government has surrendered to the foreign companies have started preparations for opening go-down, ware house, show rooms etc. Here companies like Wallmart, Tesco, Metro, Carfur are being welcomed. If the people shall not oppose FDI in the coming days, then 10 lakh traders of Delhi shall be rendered unemployed. Youth shall be forced to work 24x7 days and 14 to 16 hours in the showrooms of foreign companies. Here the foreign companies shall earn profits of lakhs of crores and take away to their own countries and make India poor.

BJP Delhi will observe BLACK DAY tomorrow to protest against allowing FDI in the country in arbitrary way, price spiral, corruption, hike in the power tariff etc. Protest demonstrations and meetings shall be held at 14 prominent places from 8.00 am to 10.00 pm under this programme. Many National and Pradesh leaders shall address these meetings.

Shri Gupta told that Manmohan Government at Centre is in minority. This Government is playing fraud with 120 crore peoples of the Country. Government has not taken the approval of Parliament before allowing FDI in retail trade. In place of taking approval for this decision FDI is being imposed through backdoor. Traders, Farmers, Youth and people connected with retail trade in the country are protesting against it. But the Government, particularly Delhi Government is welcoming FDI in the capital. Hence, a meeting has been called by Delhi Government at Ramlila Maidan in connection with implementing this anti people decision in Delhi. 

BJP has decided to oppose FDI in Delhi with full force. Akhil Bharatiya Udhyog Vyapar Mandal and other Traders Organisations have assured support to the protest against FDI and observing Black Day by BJP. Party has called meetings of traders, workers and intellectuals at hundred places of the capital to make the protest demonstrations, public meeting and black day unprecedented tomorrow. These meetings have already started in the morning at 8.00 am. In the mean time the Chief Minister has said that the people who cannot afford costly power should get their supply disconnected. This anti people statement is being opposed everywhere. People are challenging the Chief Minister to live without power even for a day. 

Shri Gupta told that the Congress has changed corruption, misconduct into decency. Hence it has again appointed Congress leader Abhishek Manu Shinghavi on the media panel who was found to be involved in sexual exploitation openly. This decision of Congress shows that the doors of Congress are always open for corrupt persons. They do not know how to respect society, tradition decency. This Government has forgotten democratic and constitutional values. Its only work is to commit corruption and scams. 

The people of the country are watching how the Congress Government and Congress Party is promoting Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Manmohan Singh, P. Chidambaram, A.K. Antony, Sushil Kumar Shindey, Sharad Pawar, Salman Khurshid etc. facing charges of corruption and scams. The people of the country have decided not to tolerate this Government any more. This message will be given by the results of election of Gujarat and Himachal.

Statement of Sheila Dikshit to get power supply disconnected

Chief Minister should apologise to the people, resign immediately – Vijender Gupta 

New Delhi, 2nd November. BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has expressed his strong reaction to the statement of Chief Minister in which she told that the people who fail that power supply is very costly should get their supply disconnected. He told that Delhi Government is working in a anti people and despotic manner only to benefit the power companies. It seems that Government had violated the democratic norms. The Government which was elected for the welfare of the people has become fully despotic, uncontrolled and anarchy. It seems that Government has lost its balance hence Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit should immediately resign. 

Even before this Chief Minister had issued many anti people statements which have been condemned from time to time. Now she has even a fresh statement that should be condemned by every body. BJP has called upon the people of Delhi that the time has come when 2 crore people of Delhi should rout the despotic and anti people Delhi Government. BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta told that when BJP will come to power it will reduce power tariff. 

This party has expressed its apprehension against the evil consequences of privatisation of power on the very first day of privatisation and also said that the Congress Government will exploit the people on the pretext privatisation. This fact now has been exposed when Delhi Government, Members of DERC, Chief Minister and officers of blocks of or orders of the then Chairman of the DERC to decrease power tariff. BJP has been opposing anti people steps of the Government and will continue to do so. The Party will continue its fight till power tariff is decreased. 

Shri Gupta further told that Delhi Government, Chief Minister and the present Chairman of DERC are hand in glove . Due to this the very justification of creating DERC has been finished. Government and DERC are looting 2 crore people of Delhi through hefty power bill. BJP has fought on this issue from streets to the Legislative Assembly and Parliament. BJP had always fought with the people on the issues of privatisation, power-water, price rise, corruption, PWD scam, land scam, provisional certificate scam, education scam, health bungling, oil scam, increase in the prices of gas, diesel, petrol and CNG. 

BJP had also submitted a memorandum to the President of India signed by 20 lakh people on the issues price rise, power. It has also oppose bailout package of 500 crore rupees and sent a letter to the Home Minister on 9th June, 2012 to oppose the bail out package. On 5th May, 2010 the then Chairman of the DERC was to passed orders to agree power tariff by 23%, but one day earlier Sheila Dikshit was also Energy Minister wrote a letter to the DERC not decrease power tariff. BJP staged movement against this conspiracy the chief Minister. 

DERC after the the examination accounts of the companies had found that they had recovered surplus of 3577 core rupees extra from the people. Hence DERC passed orders to decrease power tariff by 23%, but the Government did not allowed this order to be implemented. Now the three power companies, members of DERC, Chief Minister and Government officers conspired to prevent relief to the people. Now Chief Minister says that the people who feel that power is costly should get their power supply disconnected. BJP has organised a big public meeting at Devli on 3rd November to oppose this anti people decision of Chief Minister in which thousands of people will participate and shall take oath not vote for Congress again.

Extra increase in the price of cooking gas be withdrawn immediately by Government.

New Delhi, 1st November. Terming the decision to further increase the price of LPG cylinder by Rs. 26.50 as anti people step, BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has demanded its immediate roll back. 

It may be mentioned that recently the Government had taken anti people decision to limit the supply of concessional cooking gas cylinder to only 6 in a year to a family. The 7th cylinder will have to be purchased by them at the market price which will cost about Rs. 900. Now the Government has further increased the price of 7th cylinder under the pressure of gas lobby. People are already suffering from back breaking price rise. Now on the occasion of Deepawali they have been gifted one more instalment of price rise. Vice  Shailani also addressed the people present in the public meeting today. Smt. Shailani told that the people of Delhi should resolve to oppose the atrocities of Congress Government and rout Congress Government in the next elections. She told the workers present on this occasion that they should visit every household and apprise the people about the adverse affects of FDI.

But in place of doing so the way is the Government allowed FDI in retail trade indicates that some big scam has been committed.
