Massive Public Meeting of BJP at Jantar Mantar

25000 WORKERS INCLUDING NITIN GADKARI COURT ARREST 

25 thousands BJP workers and leaders courted arrest while marching from Parliament Street to Prime Minister's residence during a massive Demonstration against the Congress Government. The March was led by BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta. S. Shri Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh, Vijender Gupta, Sh. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra, Vijay Goel, Aarti Mehra, Vani Tripathi etc. leaders were among the persons courting arrest. While courting arrest, the workers were raising slogans "Nikammi Congress Sarkaron ko ek Dhakka aur do, Manmohan Sheila Sarkarein Nikammi hain – Jo Sarkarein Nikammi hain ve sarkarein badalni hain, Sonia, Rahul, Vadra ko Giraftar Karo, Giraftar Karo, Mehngai Par Rok Lagao-FDI ko na Lao" etc. 

Addressing a big Public Meeting at Jantar Mantar before the starts of March towards the Prime Minister's residence, National President Shri Nitin Gadkari raised a question to the Government that Aamil Azmal Kasab has been hanged after great delay but why the Government is not hanging Afzal Guru. The crime of Afzal Guru is more serious than Azmal Kasab but the Government is saving him due to vote politics. Talking in detail about corruption, scam, price-rise, FDI etc. he told that India was called a golden bird but why this India is begging before the foreigners? Why the Congress Government is so much anxious for FDI? Are not the industrialists and traders of India capable of taking the country forward? The country wants answer to these questions. 

 Former National President Shri Rajnath Singh talked in detail about the plight of the country. He told that even today the farmers of the country are compelled to commit suicide. Government is not able to pay even the cost of their product. 65 percent of the farmers of the country have no other means of income. They are in farming because they have no other option. The farmer of the country who feeds the people is in the state of ruin. The anti-farmer and anti-village policies of the Congress Government are responsible for it. Youth from villages come to cities because he has no livelihood in his village but he lives in the cities like animals. Had we attained freedom for all this? 

Addressing the public meeting Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta told that the Central and Delhi Congress Governments have made the life of the people difficult due to anti-people and looters policy. Now, Congress Government has fixed the quota of cooking gas cylinders because it wants to deprive the people of their full quantity of food. Delhi Government has stopped providing Kerosene to 4 lakh poor families. These poor families cannot purchase cooking gas cylinders in black market for Rs. 1400 and maintain their families. Delhi Government had added insult to the injury of the people by issuing Delhi Statistical Book which contains many misleading and confusing data. It seems that Sheila Dikshit Government wants to cover-up its failures by jugglery of statistics. Everyone knows about the conditions of education, health, transport, environment etc. Price is rising everyday and the policies of the Government result in looting the people. This Government is also going to increase circle rates due to which the dream of the people to have houses of their own will not be realized. People of Delhi shall not tolerate the Congress Government now which will be seen in the results of the forthcoming elections. 

National Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told that if FDI comes in the country then the industries and trade of the country will be ruined. Delhi Government had taken the decision to allow FDI in retail without due consideration. It does not know that the economy of the Delhi depends on commerce and trade. If FDI is allowed in retail trade then lakhs of people shall be rendered unemployed and the hundred years old commercial character of Delhi will be finished. Chief Minister knows that farming is almost non-existent in Delhi yet she is welcoming FDI. She does not understand the economy of Delhi. Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra talked in detail about the anti-people policies, corruption, scams of Central and Delhi Congress Governments and said that this Government is disregarding democratic values. National General Secretary Shri Vijay Goel told that until Manmohan and Sheila Governments are not dislodged, the people of the country and Delhi shall not get relief. National Secretary Aarti Mehra, Vani Tripathi, Dr. Harsh Vardhan and other leaders addressed the public meeting. S.Shri Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, Ramesh Bidhuri, Pravesh Verma, Ashish Sood, Pawan Sharma, Vishakha Shailani, Vijay Jolly and many Legislators, Councillors and Office bearers participated in the demonstration and courted arrest.

Life in Delhi has turned from bad to worse

DELHI GOVERNMENT TRIES TO ESCAPE FROM ITS RESPONSIBILITY BY JUGGLERY OF STATISTICS – VIJENDER GUPTA 

 Expressing his reaction to the data issued by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has said that the Chief Minister has tried to divert the attention of the people from the burning problems of Delhi by jugglery of statistics. She has issued these statistics only to cover up her failures.

Shri Gupta has asked the Chief Minister if the per capita income in Delhi has increased or the number of the mobile consumers has increased in Delhi then what is the rule of Government in it? Every year about 4 lakh people come and settle in Delhi. They work hard to earn their livelihood in private sector. Their income increases due to their hard labour. Mobile phones are today best medium of communication. It is not luxury rather a necessity of the people. Government should not take credit for it. The mobile consumers also pay tax to the Government and the Government earns revenue from it.

Shri Gupta has asked the Chief Minister to tell that why not a single colony out of 895 unauthorised colonies has been regularised till date for which decision was taken two months ago? Why the condition of hospitals and education in Delhi is so bad? Why 1.5 lakh people sleep on the footpaths of the capital? This year about 3 lakh 23 thousand houses were to be constructed in Delhi by the private builders. But this work was not completed and the people could not get houses. Government data show that the pollution level in Delhi has gone up to danger mark. The water of Yamuna is not worth taking bath. There is no improvement in the quality of life of the people of Delhi because of the inefficiency of the Delhi Government for which the Government is directly responsible.

Recently Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit had met Petroleum Minister Virrappa Moily and conveyed her concern about black marketing of cooking gas cylinders. It shows that cooking gas cylinders are being sold in black market and the Government is not able to curb it. The Chief Minister did not issue the data regarding the price increasing every day in Delhi because price spiral is due to the wrong policies of Delhi Government. A scheme for selling cheap flour, pulses, oil, sugar was started by Delhi Government. What happened to that scheme? How much money was looted on the pretext of this scheme because cheap flour or cheap pulses are not available anywhere in Delhi. Government has abolished quota of Kerosene of 4 lakh poor people. How these poor people shall purchase gas cylinders in black market costing 1400 rupees?

Wishing for the progress of country & society

Vijender Gupta & hundreds of BJP workers offer obeisance to Sun God. 

 With the worship of setting Sun God the sacred festival of faith & trust of the people of Purvanchal, Chhat Puja started today. This festival will be completed with offering obeisance to the rising Sun tomorrow. 

BJP Delhi Predesh President Shri Vijender Gupta inspected many Chhat Ghats including Sonia Vihar, Yamuna Ghat today. He worshipped the lord Sun with thousands of worshippers at Sonia Vihar Chhat Ghat and prayed for the prosperity and development of the country and society. Mayor Annapurna Mishra, Legislator Mohan Singh Bisht, Rameshwar Chaurasia, Abhay Verma, Dr. Sambit Patra, Anand and hundreds of BJP workers and respected persons of Purvanchal community were present with him. All these people offered obeisance to the Sun God and wished for the progress of the country. 

On this occasion, Shri Gupta told that he is feeling very happy in celebrating the Chhat festival of Purvanchal. This is being celebrated by the Indian community since ancient times. At present, one fourth of the population of Delhi is of Purvanchal people. They have already started Chhat Puja two days ago with ‘Nahay Khay’. Yesterday Kharna was observed. Today people offered obeisance to setting Sun God standing in the river and other water bodies. Tomorrow with offering obeisance to the rising Sun the Chhat Puja will be completed. The 36 hours fast is observed for the welfare and progress of the family, society and the country. 

This festival finds mention the Rigveda, Vishnu Puran, Bhagwat Puran, Brahm Puran etc. There are many stories heard about this festival. It is said that when Lord Ram returned Ayodhya after killing Ravana, he worshipped Sun God in the evening of the sixth day of Kartik Maas. Even in Mahabharat age when Kauravas forced the Pandavas to go in exile then their mother Kunti worshipped God Sun for the victory and protection of Pandavas on the advice of Lord Krishna. This helped the Pandavas to defeat the Kauravas. There is also one story that son the Lord Krishna Shamb suffered from leprosy. He was so much frustrated that he wanted to die. But he heard a Akaashwani that he should offer obeisance to the setting Sun on the sixth and to the rising Sun on the seventh day of Kartik. He performed this worship and got rid of the disease and lived for more hundred years.

200 people form khatik community join as members of bjp

New Delhi, 19th November. On the occasion of Surya Shashti more than 200 people of Khatik community of Mangolpuri area joined as members of BJP in the presence of BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta. On this occasion Shri Vijender Gupta told that BJP is winning the trust of all the communities and sections of society. Actually only BJP is capable of making the country a developed nation. 

Under the leadership of BJP Outer Delhi District President Shri Sansar Singh people of Khatik community came at BJP Delhi Pradesh Head office dancing on beat of drums. They joined as members of the party here. They expressed their faith in BJP under the leadership of Shri Ramkishor Navaria councilor and two times Vice-Chairman of Najafgarh Zone and said that only BJP can serve the country and society.

Chief Minister should stop new fast recording meters being installed by force – Vijender Gupta 

New Delhi, 18th November. BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has raised a question to the Chairperson of Delhi Jal Board, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit that when the water meters of most of the 9 lakh water consumers in Delhi are working properly then why these meters are being replaced by force? People are complaining that the new meters are fast running. Due to this the people are being served hefty water bills. Sh. Gupta today visited Chhat Ghats situated in Rohini Sector-19, Rohini. He also inspected the service camps organised by BJP workers and instructed them that they should remain present on the Ghats till the last obeisance it paid to the Sun God in the morning of 20th November so that the worshippers may not face any difficulty. 

Sh. Gupta was addressing the people after inaugurating the newly constructed roads by BJP Legislator in Madhu Vihar from the Councillor fund. He told that the people of Palam are craving for drops of water but the Delhi Govt. is not supplying water to the people of this area deliberately and on the other hand it is replacing water meters in the houses of the people having connection with fast running new meters so that they may be charged more for the supply of water. 

Shri Gupta has demanded that the meters of the houses which are working properly should not be replaced. Those meters which are running fast should be replaced immediately and the consumers should be compensated. He has demanded the Chairperson of DJB Smt. Sheila Dikshit that Government should issue a white paper on the condition of water meters in Delhi, supply of water, privatisation of water etc. 

The people suffering due to increase in the power tariff are now being harassed by the fast reading water meters. According to the DJB the meters of the houses which are defective and the houses in which water meters have not been installed, are being replaced/installed. Shri Gupta says that this claim of the DJB is completely wrong because in all the houses of water consumers blue coloured, fast running meters are being installed in place of green coloured meters. 

The consumers who are opposing new meters are being threatened that if they do not get new meters installed then their supply will be disconnected. In the North Delhi new meters have been installed in most of the houses by force. This campaign is at its full speed in East Delhi. There is great acrimony among the people about it. The officers of the DJB are avoiding any statement in this regard. It is surprising that old meters in the houses of the people in which new meters are being installed, are being taken away by the employees whereas the consumers had paid for these meters. BJP Legislator Dharmadev Solanki and area Councillor Pawan Rathi and BJP Distt. Gen. Secy. Raj Bala also addressed the people on this occasion.

Vijender Gupta inspects Chhath Ghats with BJP Kar Sewaks

BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta inspected many Chhath Ghats prepared for the worship of the Sun God today. He directed the BJP workers to start camps at the Chhath Ghats in their respective areas and extend every possible help to the families coming for Chhath Pooja. 

Shri Gupta has once again demanded Delhi Government that respecting the sentiments of 40 lakh Poorvanchalis living in Delhi it should declare the 19th November the day of Chhath Pooja as a public holiday so that the people may be able to worship the Sun God conveniently. It may be mentioned that with ‘Nahay Khaya’, the Chhath Pooja started from today itself. Tomorrow, ‘Kharna’ will be observed in which the Kul Devta is worshipped. 

Day after tomorrow the main festival will be celebrated. On this day the worshippers pay obeisance to the setting Sun God standing in the water bodies. After that they stay whole night on the Ghats singing religious songs. On 20th November the worshippers shall again pay obeisance to the rising Sun God in the morning and after that return to their homes and end the 36 hours fast. This festival is observed for the welfare of families and the society. 

BJP Pradesh President inspected sanitation work at water bodies situated in New Ashok Nagar, Mayur Vihar etc. areas. On this occasion he told the officials of EDMC present there that they should provide all the facilities for the worshippers coming at the Ghats and taking bath there. The Municipal Corporations have declared public holiday on 19th November, but entire staff of the Corporations shall be present on the Ghats to help the worshippers. Many Doctors of the Corporations shall provide 24 hours emergency service. 

Mayor of EDMC Dr. Annapurna Mishra, Deputy Mayor Usha Shastri, Convenor of Poorvanchal Cell Delhi Pradesh BJP Abhay Verma, Leader of the House BB Tyagi, Zonal Chairman Devender Kumar, District President Ram Charan Gujrati, Councillors Sunil Jha, Nicky Singh, Sushil Upadhyay etc. were present with Shri Gupta. All these leaders gave necessary directions to the BJP Kar Sewaks after inspections of the Ghats.

BJP Mahila Morcha stages strong demonstration at Irish Embassy over the tragic death of Savita and demands punishment to the guilty persons

 The workers of BJP Mahila Morcha and BJP Overseas Affairs Cell under the leadership of BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta and National President of Mahila Morcha Smt. Smriti Irani staged strong demonstration at Irish Embassy at Jor Bagh protesting against the tragic death of Savita Halappanavar an Indian National living in Ireland due to backward and unrealistic law of Ireland and demanded arrest of the hospital staff and filing cases against them for the murder of Smt. Savita. 

On this occasion, the BJP submitted an open protest letter to the Ambassador of Ireland Mr. Feilim McLaughlin and apprised him about the concern of Indian society. It has been stated in the letter that Mrs. Savita pleaded with the staff of Irish hospital again & again for termination of pregnancy which was of about 17 weeks. She had also pleaded that she will die if pregnancy is not medically terminated, but University Hospital Galway staff denied on the ground that termination of pregnancy is not allowed under the law of Ireland. 

The BJP delegation has stated to the Ambassador that in India it is violation of human rights and deliberate murder. Even otherwise no religion or faith allows the murder of any innocent woman. The World Human Rights Organisation will condemn such tragic death. Under religious belief in Ireland termination is not allowed. Ireland is a Catholic country. BJP delegation regretted the fact that a developed country like Ireland still believes in such laws. 

BJP delegation demanded the Ambassador that this law should be amended and the family members of 31 year old Mrs. Savita Halappanavar be awarded sufficient compensation for her untimely death. They have also said that this law should be amended as soon as possible so that in future no innocent woman die due to such backward law. The delegation included Convenor of Overseas Affairs Cell Shri Vijay Jolly and member of the All India BJP Mahila Morcha Sarita Chaudhary.
