Delhi Mahabandh on 20th September on the issues of FDI, cooking gas, diesel, power etc.
BJP has decided for ‘Bharat Bandh’ on 20th September to protest against allowing 51% FDI in multi-brand retail, steep hike in the prices of cooking gas, diesel and power tariff in Delhi. On this day all the industrial-commercial establishments will remain closed. Giving this information BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta & Leader of the Opposition in Delhi Legislative Assembly Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra told that the dangerous intentions of the Congress Party can be seen in these decisions. National President Shri Nitin Gadkari, NDA Convener Sharad Yadav, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Vijender Gupta and Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra will address public meeting of traders at Karol Bagh.
Shri Gupta told that the anti Indian foreign powers and multi-national companies are eying the pockets of about 120 crore citizens of the country. They want to grab the entire retail trade which is of 450 billion dollars at present. This will adversely affect 15 crore people of the country directly related to the retail trade and they will be rendered unemployed. This decision will also adversely affect telecommunication, vehicle industry, insurance, labour sector, agriculture, warehousing etc. When notorious companies like Wallmart, Tesco, Karefore, Metro AG will enter India then the livelihood of crores of people connected with retail trade will be finished. It will lead to anarchy for which the present Manmohan Government will be responsible.
Both the leaders have appealed to all the industrialists, traders, daily wage earners and 2 crore people of Delhi that they should express their anger against FDI, increase in the prices of cooking gas, diesel, power tariff etc. by closing their business. On this day BJP will burnt the effigies of Government at 100 prominent places of the capital. BJP workers will visit every street-lane, houses and apprise the people about the evil consequences of the decision of cruel and despotic Congress Government.
Shri Gupta & Prof. Malhotra told that the culture of Malls is on the decline in the world. The situation is so bad that the retail stores of Wallmart and Tesco have closed down in developed countries like USA, France, Germany, Italy, Australia, Spain, Sweden etc. In Britain the retail traders are organized to oppose the big stores of these companies. In such situation allowing 51% FDI by the back door is a controversial decision. Government should immediately withdraw it. BJP has decided to fight from the streets upto the Parliament on the issue of FDI, cooking gas, diesel, water/power etc. The Government should either withdraw its decision or resign.
