Decision to shift the gang rape victim to Singapore is political – Vijender Gupta
New Delhi, 28th Dec. BJP has said that the Government shifted the gang rape victim deliberately to Singapore in very critical conditions only to save itself from any possible trouble. Critical care treatment specialists have to say that the victim who was in very critical conditions should not have been allowed air travel.
Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta talked to the head of Medanta Hospital Dr. Naresh Trehan who were assigned the job of shifting the victim from hospital to Airport. Dr. Trehan told that he was called on 26th December. The Government had already taken decision to shift the victim to Singapore. Dr. Trehan was assigned the job of shifting from Safdarjung Hospital to Airport and Singapore Hospital under the supervision of critical care specialists Doctors of his hospital. The entire arrangement was made by Medanta Hospital.
It is surprising that on the one hand the conditions of the victim was deteriorating and the Government took the decision to shift the victim to a foreign country risking her life on the ground that the intestine transplant may be done in Mount Elizabeth Hospital of Singapore. Shri Vijender Gupta also talked to the family members of the victim. They said that there is swelling in the brain of the victim and she is feeling difficulty in breathing. Her condition is deteriorating continuously.
Condemning dirty politics by the Government in the treatment of a very critical patient, BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has announced that BJP will fight the cases of those innocent young men & women who have been falsely implicated by the police. The victim remained in the Safdarjung Hospital for 11 days. Her MRI, CITI scane etc. was done, but the Doctors could not find injury in her brain. It is obvious that her treatment was not done in a complete manner.
The treatment of the gang rape victim has completely exposed the health care system of Government hospitals. The AIIMS is the apex hospitals for medical treatment for 120 crore people of India, but there is no facility of Air Ambulance whereas the private hospitals like Medanta, Sir Ganga Ram, Fortis, Apollo and many hospitals of South India have the facilities of Helipad and Ambulance. The rape victim was also brought from the hospital to Palam Airport in the Ambulance of Medanta Hospital. Such is the condition of health care in India.
