BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has demanded the Lt. Governor of Delhi that as reported by the Newspapers, the Chief Minister of Delhi has been imposed penalty of 3000 rupees by the court for contempt and on that basis the Chief Minister should be asked to resign on moral grounds or she should be dismissed.

Shri Vijender Gupta told that Indian Constitution is the foundation of democracy and courts have been established for its compliance. Contempt of court is serious offence. It becomes more serious if the person committing contempt is on a constitutional post who has taken oath to abide by the Constitution.

The penalty on the head of Delhi Government by the court for contempt is perhaps the first unfortunate incident in the history of India democracy. If the hon’ble LG take any action as the Constitutional head of the Delhi then it will become such a precedent politically that will be dangerous for Constitutional traditions.

As the Chief Minister she has taken oath to abide by the India Constitution. Penalty by the court personally against her proves that she has committed crime against the Constitution.
