Thousands of BJP workers stage strong demonstration at four prominent places of the capital and burn effigy of Government

On the second day of the session of Legislative Assembly, thousands of BJP workers staged strong demonstration at four prominent places of Delhi to protest against anti people decisions of Government, price spiral, corruption etc. and burnt effigy of Government.  Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta participated in the demonstration and effigy burning programme at Madhuban Chowk (Rohini).  He called upon all the people of Delhi and the BJP workers that they should dislodge this useless, fully corrupt Government of Delhi which is fuelling price spiral.

            On 9th January, the BJP in its monthly meeting at Talkatora Stadium has decided that lakhs of BJP workers shall stage demonstration against the Government and burn effigy every day during the session of Legislative Assembly.  This programme will continue till the conclusion of the session.  28 big demonstrations shall be organised during this period.  In today's programme strong demonstrations were organised against the Government at Delhi Gate (Najafgarh), Uttam Nagar Terminal, Madhuban Chowk and Britania Chowk.  In these demonstrations, effigies of the Delhi Congress Government was burnt in the presence of thousands of workers and local citizens.

            Addressing the workers assembled at Madhuban Chowk, Shri Gupta told that during this time of price spiral, the way in which the Chief Minister gave bailout package of 500 crore rupees to the profit earning power companies inspite of strong protest indicates that there is corruption in this package.  This may prove to be another scam of Delhi Government if high level enquiry is ordered into the bailout package.

            He further told that the Congress has betrayed 50 lakh people living in unauthorised colonies.  For the purpose of getting their votes provisional certificates were distributed through Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and after elections it forgot to fulfil its promise.  Bungling of thousands of crores was committed with the connivance of Government in the name of distributing provisional certificates.  After privatising power supply Government is going to privatise water supply also and make the life of the people difficult.  Even after making promise to provide pucca houses to the poor, Delhi Government has not allotted pucca house to even one poor person.

            Addressing the demonstrators at Delhi Gate Najafgarh, BJP Legislator Prof. Jagdish Mukhi told that Congress Government is synonym of corruption hence even after making promise the Government did not allow Lokpal Bill to be passed.  There is corruption in every department of Delhi Government.  Constitutional institutions like CAG, Shunglu Committee, PAC, CVC, Lokayukta of Delhi, High Court have made serious comments against the Chief Minister, but Delhi Government is not ready for enquiry into corruption.  Now purpose will be served only by dislodging this Government.  Vice President Pawan Sharma, Secretary Kamaljeet Sehrawat, District Presidents Suman Kumar Sharma, Rekha Gupta, Ch. Sansar Singh and many Mandal Presidents and booth level workers participated in the demonstration with great zeal.  The programme of demonstrations and effigy burning will be organised every day till the session of Legislative Assembly continues.
