Workers block traffic and burn effigy of Chief Minister in Karol Bagh District


BIG PADHYATRA OF BJP IN PATEL NAGAR TO PROTEST AGAINST PRICE RISE AND CORRUPTION


          New Delhi, 7th January.  A big Padhyatra was taken out by all the Morchas of Karol Bagh District from Patel Nagar PS to West Patel Nagar Main Market to protest against price rise and corruption. The workers aggrieved due to atrocities of Congress Government burnt its effigy on the conclusion of Padhyatra. The workers staged Chakka Jam at various places during the Padhyatra and expressed their acrimony. The Padhyatra was led by Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta and District President Shri Rajesh Bhatia.

Addressing the workers, Shri Vijender Gupta told that 2 crore people of Delhi are struggling due to lack of basic amenities, price spiral and corruption. In place of providing relief to the people, the Chief Minister is giving bailout package of 500 crore of rupees to the power companies who are already earning profit. Government has hiked the prices of power, water, metro parking, sewer, CNG etc. Price spiral has also added to the sufferings of the people. He called upon the people present on the occasion that they should dislodge the corrupt Government which is fueling price rise.

During the Padhyatra agitated workers were raising slogans – Sheila ne badhaye bijli ke dam datke, Upbhokta kha rahe hain bijli ke jhatke. Mehangai ko rok sake na, wah sarkar nikkammi hai, jo sarkar nikkammi hai, wah sarkar badalni hai. Mehangai par kabu paau, warna gaddi chhod do etc.  Pradesh Spokesperson Shri Mevaram Arya, SC Morcha Karol Bagh District President Shri Rajesh Bhairwa, Yuva Morcha President Charanjeev Malhotra, Minority Morcha President Hanif Kadri, Parikshit Bagri, Kamlesh, Shambhu Sharma, Harjit Gil, Lal Ram and large number of Councillors, local traders and social organization participate in the Padhyatra.
