Load shedding
of about eight hours : water supply also stops - Vijender Gupta
BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has said that without
any prior intimation there was power load shedding of about eight hours in the
capital today. Due to this the water
supply was also adversely affected and lakhs of people of the capital had to
face great difficulties in the first week of the new year. It is surprising that even after 13 years of
Sheila Government's rule no arrangement for emergency supply of power &
water has been made whereas it was being claimed that there will be no shortage
of power and water in the capital after the CWG.
Terming
this as a new year gift in the first week by Sheila Government, Pradesh
President told that due to load shedding of power, water supply has also
stopped at many places.
He
expressed his surprise that the Delhi Government had recently given bailout
package of more than 500 crore rupees to the power companies and had assured
that power supply will not discontinue in Delhi, but inspite of giving hard
earned money to the power supply companies, there was load shedding of power.
He
further told that BJP had expressed its apprehensions that if public money is
given to the power companies then there is no guarantee that there will be no
power cuts. He reiterated his allegation
that Delhi Government is more concerned about the difficulties of power
companies than the two crore people of Delhi . This is the reason why Chief Minister Sheila
Dikshit gave bail out package of more than 500 crore rupees to the power
companies of the capital inspite of opposition from the public representatives
and the people whereas the power companies are already earning heavy profit.
