False Conflict between Sheila Dikshit & Home Minister Shinde continues to mislead the people – Vijender Gupta

Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde & Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit are accusing each other only to mislead the people of the country. This is being done to divert the attention of the people deliberately in this election year because nobody wants to own responsibility and hence are accusing each other.

This was the reaction of BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta on the contradictory statements issued by each other. He said that Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde is unhappy with the public transport system of Delhi, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit is unhappy with Home Ministry and the police system under it. The Chief Minister in her recent interview with the media has strongly criticised Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and said that he should have stated about the incident of gang rape earlier and not one week after the incident.

Shri Gupta told that the Chief Minister visited the Hospital after four days of the incident under the pressure of the public only as a formality. Chief Minister expresses her helplessness before the media. If she admits the failure of the Congress Government and not able to improve the public transport system then she should immediately resign from the post of Chief Minister. The incidents of rape, murder, kidnapping, loot etc. continues inspite of hundreds of statements, assurances and promises of the Central and Delhi Governments.

Chief Minister herself says that the trust of the people of Delhi on the police has decreased. The question is that what steps are being taken by the Chief Minister to restore this trust? The Chief Minister can not escape from her responsibility by issuing statements, expressing worries etc. She will have to answer about the insensitivity, arbitrariness, price rise, increasing crime, corruption, public protests etc. to the people of Delhi.
