Memorandum to Chief Minister for disband task force, regularize of colonies

BJP stages strong demonstration at Delhi Secretariat to protest against atrocities by government on the unauthorized colonies

New Delhi, 21st July.  More than 8000 Delhi BJP workers under the leadership of Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta staged a strong demonstration at Delhi Secretariat and submitted Memorandum to the Chief Minister demanding regularization of unauthorized colonies and stopping atrocities by the task force of Delhi Government on the residents of unauthorized colonies. The police tried to stop the workers from reaching the secretariat. Many workers were injured in the demonstration. Vice President of Shakarpur Mandal Munni Thakur sustained serious injury on her head. She had been admitted to J.P. Narayan hospital in serious condition. More than 300 workers were taken into custody. Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta and S.Shri Rameshwar Chaurasiya, Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra, Ramesh Bidhuri etc addressed the people present in the demonstration.

Before this the workers staged a massive Dharna Shahidi Park. Pradesh Co In-Charge Shri Ramehswar Chaurasiya and Legislators S.Shri Ramesh Bidhuri, Shri Krishna Tyagi, Dharmdev Solanki, Sahab Singh Chauhan, Mohan Singh Bisht, Dr. S.C.L. Gupta, Anil Jha, Pawan Sharma, Pravesh Verma, Ashish Sood, Anil Sharma, and Pradesh office bearers participated in this Dharna and later on all the MLAs, Officebearers alongwith Pradesh President Vijender Gupta were arrested and taken to the Police Station. The workers were raising slogans “Anadhikrit coloniyo par atyachar band karo, band karo, task force ko radda karo, radda karo, Sabhi colonoiyo ka niyaman, tatkal karo, tatkal karo etc.”
Addressing the workers Shri Vijender Gupta told that the Central and Delhi Congress Government are playing fraud with 50 lakh people of the capital. At the time of elections the people of unauthorized colonies were given provisional certificates with the promise to regularize these colonies which was only to grab their votes. Now these people are being sent to jail for necessary minor repairs in their property. The Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit is running ‘Jungle Raaj’ in Delhi. Many constitutional institutions have found her and Delhi Government guilty of corruption. Even after this the Chief Minister is roaming free. Common man is afraid and apprehensive of being sent to jail.

On this occasion Shri Rameshwar Chaurasiya said that BJP is the main opposition party of Delhi. BJP cannot see injustice and atrocities on 50 lakh people living in unauthorized colonies. He further said that in every election weather state or centre the Congress party always secures vote by misleading the people and after that betrays and forgets them. Prof. V.K. Malhotra announced that the party has started the first phase of its movement for regularizing the unauthorized colonies and providing basic amenities in them. He said today’s Demonstration has been organized to awaken the deaf and dumb Congress Government. If the Government continues its atrocities then the BJP will give a fitting reply in the interest of unauthorized colonies. He further said that it is due to the negligence of the Government and DDA that unauthorized colonies have come up in Delhi. General Secretary Ramesh Bidhuri said that had the Government has been failed to discharge its responsibility towards lakhs of people living in unauthorized colonies if the Delhi Government would have taken interest in the development works of these colonies today the living conditions of these colonies would have been much better than today. This is well known fact that Congress makes false promises at the time of election to the voters. The Lokayukta has also confirmed recently tactics adopted by Sheila Dikshit in 2008 Assembly elections to secure votes by giving false assurance. District Presidents, Mandal Presidents, Morcha and Cell Officebearers, Councillors and senior workers participated in the Dharna today.
