BJP submits memorandum with 20 lakh signatures of the people of Delhi to the President protesting against corruption of Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and price spiral
A delegation of senior leaders of BJP met the President of India Mrs. Pratibha Devi Patil today and submitted signatures of more than 20 lakh people of Delhi protesting against corruption committed by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit in the CWG, price spiral, anti people policies, black money etc. BJP also submitted a memorandum with it and apprised about the case of forgery with the connivance of Chief Minister’s office in College admission besides corruption & fraud in the case of unauthorized colonies. The delegation was led by Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta.
Besides the Pradesh President the delegation included Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra, Vijay Goel, Vani Tripathi, Rameshwar Chaurasia, Vijay Sharma, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Vijay Jolly etc.
In the memorandum submitted to the President it has been stated that corruption and back breaking price rise is at the climax in Delhi and the country. Many corrupt leaders of Central Government have been sent to jail. The Shunglu Committee and the CAG have found Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit to be involved in corruption. The Lokayukta of Delhi has also confirmed corruption by the Chief Minister and Delhi Government, but the Government has not taken any legal action against the Chief Minister. The delegation told the Hon’ble President that Lokayukta is a Constitutional institution and after enquiry in a legal way the recommendation was again forwarded to Home Ministry and the Home Ministry sent the report to the Chief Minister which is not reasonable. Hence you should intervene in the matter.
Today the greatest problem of the country is corruption and price spiral. Due to corruption oriented policies of the Congress Government corruption and price spiral have become the greatest problem of the country. Government has completely failed in curbing it. The Government does not want to get back black money. The livelihood of more than 10 crore families connected with retail trade in the country is in danger due to the FDI policy of the Central Government. It is shameful for the country that the voice of nationalist people who raised their voice for getting back black money was tried to be suppressed. The delegation requested the President that being the protector of the Constitution and head of the State she should take initiative to end corruption, price rise and bring back black money besides rejecting the anti people and anti trader’s policies of the Government.
The delegation lodged strong protest against the decision of Central Government to allow multi brand retail trade by foreign companies in the capital. They told that due to FDI in retail trade by foreign companies more than 20 lakhs retail traders shall be completely ruined and lose their employment in Delhi. The Government should issue directions for not allowing show rooms by multi-national companies allowed FDI in retail trade in Delhi. The delegation also lodged protest against hike in the price of CNG and told that the information is being received through media that the Central Government is also going to the hike the price of petrol shortly. We believe that it will put a great burden on the people.
It may be mentioned that the BJP Delhi Pradesh had initiated a signature campaign in entire Delhi on 17th and 18th December, 2011 under which more than 20 lakh people signed on the forms prepared by BJP Delhi Pradesh addressed to the President of India. Hon’ble President listened carefully to the delegation and assured of necessary action in this regard.
