Hike in the price of petrol is Government conspiracy

The BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has said that the reasons given for the increase in the price of petrol are baseless.  When the price of crude oil in international market was 145 dollars per barrel, the price of petrol in Delhi was 47.43 paise per litre.  Now the price of crude oil is only Rs. 90 per barrel.  But now the price of petrol in the capital has gone upto 68.66 rupees per litre. Government has hiked the price of petrol with the connivance of oil companies so that the people may be looted and oil companies may be benefited.  The Government is not assuring the people when this price spiral will stop.

He told that under a conspiracy the Government decontrolled the price of petrol and diesel in the country and almost privatised it.  After the decontrol of prices of oil, the companies have become uncontrolled and indulging in profiteering.  Due to this the price of petrol has increased by Rs. 20.54 per litre within a year.  The statement of Government that the oil companies were incurring loss of 130 crore rupees and due to this the Government allowed increase in the price is false.  The reality is that the oil companies have shown heavy profit in their annual reports.  These were advertised in leading newspapers which showed heavy profit.

Shri Gupta told that due to corruption in Government the price spiral is continuing.  Government has encouraged corruption by increasing the price of oil.  At present the people are suffering due to price rise and now the hike in the price of petrol will make the life of common man more difficult.  At present in Delhi the power tariff has been increased by 22%, circle rates by 350%, CNG by Rs. 2 per kg, diesel by Rs. 3.16 per litre, cooking gas by Rs. 50 per cylinder.  Food inflation has also gone upto 12.21 percent.  Within a year the Government increased rapo rates by 10 times in the name of curbing inflation, but it never succeeded.  All the efforts to curb inflation has failed.  In reality the UPA Government has failed on the front of corruption, price spiral, crime, terrorism etc.  In order to divert the attention of the people the Government is hatching conspiracy to keep the people involved in their family affairs so that they may not think about agitating against the Government.
