BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender
Gupta has said that the retail traders and industrialists besides the farmers
of the country will be ruined due to allowing FDI in retail trade. Hence the
BJP has decided to stage Dharna-Demonstration at Parliament on 28th November
demanding withdrawal of the decision of the government to allow FDI. He told that the UPA Government has committed
a big bungling by allowing FDI in retail trade.
It may be mentioned
that the Government by allowing FDI in multi-brand retail trade of lakhs of
crores in the country has taken anti people decision to render 20 lakh farmers
and 10 lakh traders of the country unemployed and it will also endanger the
sovereignty of the country because the economic system of the country will be
under the control of foreign companies and they will be in a position to
blackmail the Government and it will adversely affect the Indian democratic
system.
Delhi Pradesh Traders
Cell Convenor Shri Kailash Gupta told that Delhi is the centre of distribution and
wholesale trade of the country. Goods
are exchanged from here in the entire country as a chain. More than 10 lakh families in Delhi are engaged in it
since decades. They will be rendered
unemployed and ultimately ruined. Hence
all the traders of Delhi
by taking part in the dharna-demonstration will demand the UPA Government to
withdraw its decision which will ruin the traders.
According to sources
due to the decision to allow foreign companies for FDI will result in monopoly
of the foreign companies on the agriculture of India . The companies will take the
land of the farmers on lease and force them to grow crops according to their
choice. This way the farmer will grow
only the crops which they choose. In the
agreement the foreign companies have included a condition that if the crop is
not of good quality then they will reject the produce. This way the farmers will not get the cost of
their produce and they will be compelled to commit suicide due to the burden of
loan. The foreign companies will also
render the Indian retail traders unemployed who have their shops in every lane
and mohalla. Due to this there will be
unmanageable employment in the country. Hundreds
of trades including Shri Ramesh Khanna, Shri Sanjeev Bajaj, Shri Om Prakash
Gupta and Shri Shyam Sunder etc. participated in the meeting of the Traders Cell.
