BJP stages Dharna/Demonstrations and burns effigies of Sheila Dikshit at more then 50 prominent places of Delhi to protest against corruption by the Chief Minister in CWG as reported by the CAG

New Delhi, 7^th August. To protest against the failure of the Congress Govt. and to remove Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit who has been directly held guilty for bungling in CWG by the CAG, thousands of BJP workers staged Demonstration and burnt effigies of the Chief Minister and Govt. at more then 50 prominent places of the capital. In demonstration at Vikas Marg, Nathu Colony Chowk, Town Hall, Qutub Nagar Chowk, Britania Chowk, Sant Nagar Chowk, Shakur Basti, Jahangir Puri Bas Stand, Malviya Nagar Market, Sector-1 RK Puram Market, Moti Nagar Chowk, West Patel Nagar, Arya Samaj Chowk, Karol Bagh, Jharoda Village, Pandav Nagar, Agrawal Chowk, Chandra Vihar Main Road, Prem Nagar, Jalebi Chowk Sultan Puri, F-Block Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, Jwala Puri Chowk and many other places, BJP Delhi Pradesh President Sh. Vijender Gupta, Sh. Navjot Singh Sidhu, Sh. Vijay Goel, Sh. Vijay Kumar Malhotra, Sh. Rameshwar Chaurasia, Ms. Arti Mehra, Dr. Harshwardhan and other office bearers participated. BJP workers were raising slogan ‘Sheila Ka Estifa Lo-Sheila Ko Bhejo Jail’.

Addressing the workers at various places on this occasion Sh. Gupta told that till Congress Party does not remove Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit from her post on the charges of corruption and start CBI inquiry the agitations of BJP will continue its protest. BJP is not going to remain silent on this issue. The party will apprise every citizen of Delhi about the corruption committed by the Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and failure of the Congress party to remove her. Sh. Gupta further told that just after the report of Lokayukta in Karnataka the BJP directed Chief Minister Yedurappa to resign and he resigned from his post and now another Chief Minister has been appointed. Similarly why the Congress party has not directed Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit to resign whereas she has been indicted by the CAG for committing forgery manipulating of Tender, benefiting favorite contractors/person, awarding contract to unqualified contractors, taking over the power of finance Dept. for committing bungling and misuse of her office.

Addressing the BJP workers and people of Delhi Sh. Navjot Singh Sidhu told that the Congress is adopting double standard on corruption. When any Congress Chief Minister commit corruption than the Congress party and the Govt. do not treat it as corruption and try to save them and if a person belonging to other party is accused of corruption than the Congress Party immediately demand his resignation. Now the corrupt face of Congress has been exposed and the people have understood that the Congress indulge in loot of public money after come in to power. The people of this party are completely involved in corruption. People have not hope from Congress Party. Now the people of Delhi and the country want the BJP Govt.

Co-Incharge Sh. Rameshwar Chaurasia told that now the BJP has started it fight against corruption. The BJP workers can not remain silent until the corrupt Chief Minister resigns the movement of BJP will continue till Sheila Dikshit is sent to jail. The BJP workers have decided to fight decisive matter on this issue. He told that every BJP workers will apprise every citizen of Delhi the truth about the Shunglu Committee report and the CAG report.

Tomorrow all the BJP Legislators will March from Shahidi Park to Delhi Secretariat demanding resignation of Sheila Dikshit and CBI inquiry against her. On the 9^th August the one lakh workers of BJYM will hold public meeting in Ramlila Maidan to protest against corruption of the Congress and start the fight for ending corruption and sending the corrupt Congress man to jail. National and Pradesh leaders will address this meeting. On the 11^th August the thousands of BJP workers will Gharao the Parliament demanding resignation of Sheila Dikshit.
