Killers of 1984 walk free despite a Sikh PM even after 29 years - Vijay Goel

BJP has been and is committed to Justice for 84 Victims - Vijay Goel

New Delhi, 4th May : Delhi State president Shri Vijay Goel today Honored Advocate S.S. Phoolka, Counsel for victims of 1984 riots and Bibi Jagdish Kaur with a Saropa at a packed Talkatora Stadium today for their exemplary role in the fight for getting Justice for the 1984 riot victims. At a huge protest meeting of BJP workers Shri Goel underlined the fact that Justice Narula committee was formed by the then BJP government within days after taking office in December 1993. He also said that it was a BJP initiative that Nanavati Commission was formed in May 2000 by the then PM Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Blaming the congress leaders for either directly being involved in the killing of sikhs in 1984 or supporting the killers, Goel further said, "The irony of the situation is that riots took place despite a Sikh President in 1984 and the culprits were left scott free despite a Sikh Prime Minister in 2013, this is what Congress can do to you. No senior congress leader has ever gone to Jail despite witnesses and credible proof even after 29 years." Pointing to the fact that 225 persons were accused in just 5 Police stations in South West Delhi out of which only 2 have been convicted and 2 cases are still sub judice whereas the rest were left scot free due to connivance of Delhi police and the congress leaders. Goel further took to task the Congress government on the multi faceted failure of congress on all fronts including corruption, scams and non governance. He pointed out that BJP had opposed the appointment of CBI director Ranjit Sinha in 2012. CVC and CBI are being used for cover ups and political intimidations.
Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Deputy Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha said that this is a government of scamsters. Nepotism and Nexuses are rampant. the arrest of Rail Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal's nephew opens yet another chapter in the book of corruption, RailGate. He further said the complete government machinery was at the disposal of the prime accused of the 1984 riots - Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler to protect them from the clutches of Law. He also added that the government has included within the gamut of corruption, every constituent of this mundane world, CWG looted the earth, Helicopter and 2G looted the skies and the Coal Gate played havoc underneath the earth.

Delhi BJP President Vijay Goel, Ravi Shankar Prasad, V. K. Malhotra, Vani Tripathi, Anil Jain instilled confidence in thousands of BJP workers along with all BJP MLA's and Counscillors for the pending 2013 Assembly Elections.
