Manmohan & Sheila are accusing each other for the defeat – Vijender Gupta

BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has said that degected due to the victory of BJP in MCD elections Prime Minister Manmohan Singh & Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit are accusing each other and trying to save themselves. These accusations on each other have proved that the Central Government and Delhi Government have not discharged their constitutional responsibility. Both the Governments remained busy in loot, corruption, bungling, fuelling price spiral and in making anti people decisions. BJP did good work in the MCD and the people awarded it with victory in the three Corporations. 

It may be mentioned that holding the Prime Minister responsible for the defeat in MCD elections, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has said that Congress lost in the MCD elections due to due to the wrong policies of the Central Government, price spiral etc. On the other hand Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has held the failures of Delhi Government and local issues responsible for the defeat of Congress in Delhi. Prime Minister stated in the media that the Corporation elections are fought on local issues. Delhi Government failed to solve the local problems and hence the Congress was defeated in all the three Corporations. The Central Government has nothing to do with the defeat of Congress in Delhi. 

From the first day of the start of election process, BJP was stating that the results of Corporation elections will be the mandate of the people of Delhi against misgovernance, corruption of the Congress, price spiral, failure in maintaining law & order etc. BJP had printed a booklet named ‘Ghotale Hi Ghotale’ on the corruption and anti people policies of Delhi Government and distributed it in the media and people of Delhi on large scale. BJP made corruption in Central and Delhi Governments, wrong decisions and wrong economic policies, failure in running Government the issues in these elections. The people of Delhi face these problems every day. In the mean time an interview of the Chief Minister was published in which she had said that the price spiral is no issue in the MCD elections. People of Delhi earn much and hence they are not affected by price spiral. 

There was great acrimony among the people of Delhi due to dictator like statements of the Chief Minister of Delhi and insensitivity of the Central Government. They took the revenge from the Congress for all these things. Congress was badly defeated and people made BJP victorious so that it may provide all the possible amenities to the people again.
