THERE ARE SUFFICIENT REASONS FOR TERMING CHIEF MINISTER AS A VILLAIN

BIOMETRIC ATTENDANCE SYSTEM EXPOSESD CORRUPTION BY CONGRESS IN THE MCD – VIJENDER GUPTA 

In a statement issued here today, BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has said that Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has not only failed in discharging her responsibilities as Chief Minister of a democratic state but also has become a vamp in the eyes of the people of Delhi by taking many anti people decisions, making false announcements & promises and making anti people statements. Congress was committing bungling of crores by appointing thousands of ghost employees in the MCD during its rule. Just after taking over the MCD, BJP introduced e-governance. Biometric attendance system exposed corruption by Congress in the MCD. By including ghost employees in the muster roll, Congressmen earned 17 crore rupees per month. BJP stopped this heavy corruption in the MCD. The allegation of the Chief Minister about having ghost employees in the MCD was like the case of thief threatening the policemen and consequently she proved herself to be villain. Crores of the people of Delhi are suffering during the Sheila’s rule. They want to get rid of the Congress Government. 

It may be mentioned that the Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has expressed her displeasure on being termed as villain in a face to face interview with English daily by the BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta and Congress Pradesh President Shri Jai Prakash Aggarwal. Chief Minister served legal notice to Shri Gupta and demanded apology within 2 days. Chief Minister had said that if Shri Gupta does not apologize then legal action will be taken against him. Shri Vijender Gupta has presented many reasons for terming the Chief Minister as villain. She has reduced the capital into a worse place in place of developing Delhi during the last 13 years. Due to the corruption, price spiral and anti people policies, the image of Delhi has been maligned in the world and the country. 

There are many reasons why Shri Gupta has termed the Chief Minister as villain. Shri Gupta has proved that Mrs. Sheila Dikshit is an inefficient, corrupt Chief Minister who does not care about Constitutional institutions. She avoids to face the charges of corruption. Chief Minister is directly responsible for corruption, price spiral and other failures of the Government. She does not care about law. She has been in power for the last 13 years but Delhi Government has failed to provide even the basic amenities. 

In order to mislead the voters and secure their votes, Smt. Sheila Dikshit issued many misleading and false statements. In the year 2008 she distributed provisional certificates to the residents of unauthorized colonies through Mrs. Sonia Gandhi with the promise that all the basic amenities shall be provided in the colonies. Not a single colony has been regularized. In the name of distributing provisional certificates, Chief Minister, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, Minister Rajkumar Chauhan benefited many landmafia by issuing provisional certificates to many fictitious colonies. By doing such illegal act, Delhi Government committed bungling of thousands of crores. Now, efforts are being made to influence enquiry into it. 

Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit had promised the poor people of Delhi that they shall be provided houses at cheap rates. This were has not been completed as yet. Justice Manmohan Sareen wrote a letter to the President of India, requesting her to caution the Chief Minister. Sheila Dikshit became angry due to this letter of Lokayukta and made unconstitutional demand to review the jurisdiction and functions of Lokayukta. Delhi Government also committed bungling of crores in the process of privatization of power. The PAC of Delhi Government has confirmed it. The committee recommended for CBI enquiry but the Chief Minister did not order for such enquiry. 

Mrs. Sheila Dikshit has added insult to the injury of the people by issuing statements from time to time. She had said that she will prefer to walk on foot rather travel in DTC buses. She had also told that the people of Poorvanchal are burden on Delhi. These people utilize the amenities meant for the people of Delhi. Government had submitted in the court that the problem of law and order in Delhi is due to the unauthorized colonies. It means that 50 lakh people living in unauthorized colonies are involved in illegal activities. Smt. Sheila Dikshit denied holiday for ‘Chhath’ pooja saying that how many people of Poorvanchal live in Delhi. In place of providing relief to the people suffering from price spiral, she told that the people of Delhi earn much and hence they are not affected by price rise. Price rise is not an issue in Delhi. 

Shri Gupta told that the Chief Minister also tried to malign the image of MCD. She did not provide funds meant for development works and obstructed the development works of MCD. Congress Governments are at Centre and Delhi but people are not getting pure drinking water. Chief Minister could have emulated Goa Government by decreasing VAT on Petrol, Diesel, Cooking Gas, Food items and could make them cheap but she did not do so. Congress also accused BJP of ghost employees but the reality is that these ghost employees were appointed during the Congress rule. MCD incurred loss 17 crore rupees every month. BJP started biometric attendance system in the MCD and hence the secret of ghost employees was exposed. 

BJP succeeded in building grand Civic Center for Delhi even facing the opposition of Delhi Government. Congress wanted to sell the Civic Center at dirty cheap rate. BJP increased the revenue of MCD from 2500 crore rupees to 7000 crore rupees. BJP also introduced e-governance in MCD and made its works paperless. Crores of people started getting the services of MCD from their houses. The Congress party and Government of Delhi did not fulfill its promises made in its manifestoes even after in 13 years and hence Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit is a villain in the eyes of crores of people of the capital.
