Chief Minister's remarks on attack is shameful and will encourage crime

CASE OF ATTEMPT TO MURDER BE LODGED AGAINST THE ASSAILANTS OF EXECUTIVE ENGINEER ANSAR ALAM AND SENT TO JAIL - BJP

BJP Delhi Pradesh strongly condemns the brutal attack on MCD City Zone Executive Engineer Ansar Alam openly at public bus stand by the building mafia.  Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has demanded the Police Commissioner that the assailants and their patrons who brutally assaulted honest Engineer should be arrested immediately and case of attempt to murder be lodged so that the honest engineers may not be demoralised and a strong message should be given building mafia that anti social elements will not be spared in the capital.

          Shri Gupta has termed the statement of the Chief Minister on the brutal attack on Executive Engineer Ansar Alam as irresponsible and shameful and said that the statement of CM that such incidents take place also proves that the Government is on the side of land mafia, it has nothing to do with honest employees.  The statement of the Chief Minister will demoralize honest employees and officers working in Government departments.  They may not be able to work fearlessly, honestly and transparently.  This incident proves that criminal elements and building mafia are calling the shots in the capital.

          It may be mentioned that some months ago a building under construction had collapsed in Chandni Mahal area which was being constructed in illegal way.  Government ordered for an enquiry against the persons involved in this illegal act under heavy pressure of the people and BJP.  Just after this an honest Executive Engineer of MCD Ansar Alam was deputed to prevent illegal constructions in Chandni Mahal area.  Shri Alam worked strictly and prevented illegal constructions in the area.  Due to this the building mafia became angry and frustrated.  This mafia staged brutal attack on Shri Alam by hired goondas at public bus stand so that the terror of the mafia may be established on the honest officers of the MCD.
