Massive Public Meeting of BJP at Jantar Mantar

25000 WORKERS INCLUDING NITIN GADKARI COURT ARREST 

25 thousands BJP workers and leaders courted arrest while marching from Parliament Street to Prime Minister's residence during a massive Demonstration against the Congress Government. The March was led by BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta. S. Shri Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh, Vijender Gupta, Sh. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra, Vijay Goel, Aarti Mehra, Vani Tripathi etc. leaders were among the persons courting arrest. While courting arrest, the workers were raising slogans "Nikammi Congress Sarkaron ko ek Dhakka aur do, Manmohan Sheila Sarkarein Nikammi hain – Jo Sarkarein Nikammi hain ve sarkarein badalni hain, Sonia, Rahul, Vadra ko Giraftar Karo, Giraftar Karo, Mehngai Par Rok Lagao-FDI ko na Lao" etc. 

Addressing a big Public Meeting at Jantar Mantar before the starts of March towards the Prime Minister's residence, National President Shri Nitin Gadkari raised a question to the Government that Aamil Azmal Kasab has been hanged after great delay but why the Government is not hanging Afzal Guru. The crime of Afzal Guru is more serious than Azmal Kasab but the Government is saving him due to vote politics. Talking in detail about corruption, scam, price-rise, FDI etc. he told that India was called a golden bird but why this India is begging before the foreigners? Why the Congress Government is so much anxious for FDI? Are not the industrialists and traders of India capable of taking the country forward? The country wants answer to these questions. 

 Former National President Shri Rajnath Singh talked in detail about the plight of the country. He told that even today the farmers of the country are compelled to commit suicide. Government is not able to pay even the cost of their product. 65 percent of the farmers of the country have no other means of income. They are in farming because they have no other option. The farmer of the country who feeds the people is in the state of ruin. The anti-farmer and anti-village policies of the Congress Government are responsible for it. Youth from villages come to cities because he has no livelihood in his village but he lives in the cities like animals. Had we attained freedom for all this? 

Addressing the public meeting Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta told that the Central and Delhi Congress Governments have made the life of the people difficult due to anti-people and looters policy. Now, Congress Government has fixed the quota of cooking gas cylinders because it wants to deprive the people of their full quantity of food. Delhi Government has stopped providing Kerosene to 4 lakh poor families. These poor families cannot purchase cooking gas cylinders in black market for Rs. 1400 and maintain their families. Delhi Government had added insult to the injury of the people by issuing Delhi Statistical Book which contains many misleading and confusing data. It seems that Sheila Dikshit Government wants to cover-up its failures by jugglery of statistics. Everyone knows about the conditions of education, health, transport, environment etc. Price is rising everyday and the policies of the Government result in looting the people. This Government is also going to increase circle rates due to which the dream of the people to have houses of their own will not be realized. People of Delhi shall not tolerate the Congress Government now which will be seen in the results of the forthcoming elections. 

National Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told that if FDI comes in the country then the industries and trade of the country will be ruined. Delhi Government had taken the decision to allow FDI in retail without due consideration. It does not know that the economy of the Delhi depends on commerce and trade. If FDI is allowed in retail trade then lakhs of people shall be rendered unemployed and the hundred years old commercial character of Delhi will be finished. Chief Minister knows that farming is almost non-existent in Delhi yet she is welcoming FDI. She does not understand the economy of Delhi. Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra talked in detail about the anti-people policies, corruption, scams of Central and Delhi Congress Governments and said that this Government is disregarding democratic values. National General Secretary Shri Vijay Goel told that until Manmohan and Sheila Governments are not dislodged, the people of the country and Delhi shall not get relief. National Secretary Aarti Mehra, Vani Tripathi, Dr. Harsh Vardhan and other leaders addressed the public meeting. S.Shri Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, Ramesh Bidhuri, Pravesh Verma, Ashish Sood, Pawan Sharma, Vishakha Shailani, Vijay Jolly and many Legislators, Councillors and Office bearers participated in the demonstration and courted arrest.
