BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta inspected many Chhath Ghats prepared for the worship of the Sun God today. He directed the BJP workers to start camps at the Chhath Ghats in their respective areas and extend every possible help to the families coming for Chhath Pooja.
Shri Gupta has once again demanded Delhi Government that respecting the sentiments of 40 lakh Poorvanchalis living in Delhi it should declare the 19th November the day of Chhath Pooja as a public holiday so that the people may be able to worship the Sun God conveniently. It may be mentioned that with ‘Nahay Khaya’, the Chhath Pooja started from today itself. Tomorrow, ‘Kharna’ will be observed in which the Kul Devta is worshipped.
BJP Pradesh President inspected sanitation work at water bodies situated in New Ashok Nagar, Mayur Vihar etc. areas. On this occasion he told the officials of EDMC present there that they should provide all the facilities for the worshippers coming at the Ghats and taking bath there. The Municipal Corporations have declared public holiday on 19th November, but entire staff of the Corporations shall be present on the Ghats to help the worshippers. Many Doctors of the Corporations shall provide 24 hours emergency service.
Mayor of EDMC Dr. Annapurna Mishra, Deputy Mayor Usha Shastri, Convenor of Poorvanchal Cell Delhi Pradesh BJP Abhay Verma, Leader of the House BB Tyagi, Zonal Chairman Devender Kumar, District President Ram Charan Gujrati, Councillors Sunil Jha, Nicky Singh, Sushil Upadhyay etc. were present with Shri Gupta. All these leaders gave necessary directions to the BJP Kar Sewaks after inspections of the Ghats.
