North Delhi Municipal Corporation

All the BJP candidates including for the post of Mayor declared elected 


With the withdrawal of the name by one candidate of BSP, the elections for the post of Mayor, Deputy Mayor and members of Standing Committee was held unanimously. BJP has established its supremacy in the North Delhi Municipal Corporation. 

Now Smt. Meera Aggarwal has been formally declared Mayor of North Delhi Municipal Corporation and Master Azad Singh as Deputy Mayor. SarvaShri Yogender Chandoliya, Vijay Prakash Pandey, Mrs. Hoor Bano, Surender Kaur from BJP and SarvaShri Mukesh Goel and Gulab Singh of Congress Party were elected as members of Standing Committee in a friendly atmosphere. 

It may be mentioned that Shri Satya Prakash Councilor of BSP had also filed his nomination for the Member of Standing Committee. Today he withdrew his name and as a result all the office bearers and members were elected unanimously. Voting was not needed at all. 

On this occasion besides Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta, SarvaShri ….. were present at the Civic Centre. 

Congratulating the newly elected Mayor and other elected members Pradesh President told that the BJP will try to fulfill all the promises made in the election manifesto. The objective of the Party is that every citizen of Delhi gets the benefit of the services provided by the Corporation. 

The newly elected Mayor Smt. Meera Aggarwal thanked the people of Delhi. She told that the way in which the people have reposed their faith in BJP in the elections to the North Delhi Municipal Corporation, the Party is very much enthused. She will be always available for the services to the people as the Mayor of North Delhi Corporation. This area is facing some specific problems which shall be solved on priority. It will be her effort to provide fast service by the Corporation to the people.
