New slabs proposed by Government are anti people

Delhi Govt. should roll back the increased power tariff – Vijender Gupta

BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has demanded Delhi Government that it should immediately withdraw increased power tariff of 24% and surcharge of 8% in the interest of the people because all the three power companies are earning profit of thousands of crores.

Shri Gupta has said that after the angry reaction of the people of Delhi the Government proposed change in the slab of power consumption already implemented by DERC is like adding insult to injury of the people. Government is still taking decisions against the interest of the people. It should take firm steps to roll back the increased tariff and the surcharge. A uniform of power tariff should be decided for all the areas of Delhi. Power tariff should be charged at the old rates of Rs. 2.40 per unit without limit in consumption.

It may be mentioned that the DERC has authorized the power companies to recover power tariff at the rate of Rs. 3.70 per unit for consumption from 0 to 200 units, Rs. 4.8 per units for consumption from 0 to 400 units and Rs. 6.40 for consumption of more than 400 units. This tariff is being opposed in entire Delhi. BJP demands that this hike should be immediately withdrawn in view of price spiral and the accounts of the three power companies be audited by the CAG so that manipulation in the accounts may be detected. Delhi Government had taken a cabinet decision that the accounts of power companies will be audited by the CAG, but this was not done.

Delhi Government has now changed its stand and now proposed that a new slab of Rs. 3.70 should be fixed for consumption from 0 to 200 units and in place of Rs. 4.80 per unit for consumption from 201 to 400 units, tariff be charged at the rate of Rs. 5.70 per unit and Rs. 6.40 be charged for consumption of more than 400 units. This way the new proposal is anti people because the Government had proposed for increasing tariff by 90 paise per unit on the slab of Rs. 4.80. The DERC has fixed 8th October, 2012 as the date of hearing on this proposal. On this day the consumers and the companies shall present their case before the DERC.

Public movements of BJP cannot be stopped by litigations

BJP WILL CONTINUE TO OPPOSE ALL THE ANTI-PEOPLE STEPS OF DELHI GOVERNMENT INCLUDING POWER TARIFF HIKE – VIJENDER GUPTA

BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has said that he will continue to fight against corruption, anti-people policies, price rise and steep power tariff hike in the interest of the people. He is ready for any sacrifice for it. Delhi Government cannot demoralise him by entangling him litigations. As the Pradesh President, it is his political, social and legal responsibility to oppose every anti-people step of Government. The BJP's fight against anti people policies of Delhi Government will continue till Delhi Government withdraws its anti people decisions.

Shri Gupta told that with the connivance of power companies, Delhi Government imposed a heavy burden on the people in the form of power tariff hike. The Government could prevent power tariff hike because all the three companies were earning profit of thousands of crores. This can be confirmed by the audit of the accounts of these companies by CAG. The Power companies had asked for maximum 22 percent increase but the Government allowed 34 percent hike which is injustice to the 2 crore people of Delhi. BJP will continue its fight against it.

It may be mentioned that the former Chairman of DERC Shri Brijendra Singh had informed Delhi Government on 3rd May, 2010 that all the three power companies have surplus of 3577 crore rupees hence the power companies should cut power tariff by 22 percent but the Chief Minister of Delhi wrote a letter to DERC on 4th May, 2010 stopping the cut in power hike because at that time power department was under the Chief Minister. She did not allow cut in power tariff for 1 year and till the retirement of DERC Chairman Shri Brijendra Singh. After his retirement Shri PD Sudhakar was appointed as the new Chairman of DERC and he immediately increased power tariff by 22 percent. The BJP initiated a strong movement against the decision for power tariff hike by DERC and Delhi Government by uniting and awakening the people of Delhi. This movement was staged in entire Delhi. Public was informed through media that Delhi Government and the power companies have together imposed a big burden on the people of Delhi in the form of power tariff hike. Delhi Government could have prevented the DERC from increasing power tariff.

After that power companies have hiked power tariff by 70 percent and all the RWAs and the people of Delhi besides BJP have strongly opposed it. In spite of this a burden of 24 percent hike in power tariff was imposed on the people. In addition to it, 8 percent surcharge was also imposed. This way the total hike in power tariff is about 34 percent imposed on the people during this time of price spiral. Power tariff for consumers upto to 200 unit units is different from the tariff applicable to consumers of 400 units. Now, the bills being served on the people are showing increased amount of 100 to 300 percent. The common man is not ready to tolerate such increase in the power tariff because they are not capable of paying so much. Shri Gupta has demanded Delhi Government and DERC that it should immediately withdraw the present tariff so that the people's right to life may not be in danger.

Historical rally of workers of the country in Ramlila Maidan

BJP will ensure respectable life to the workers of unorganized sectors when it comes to power – Nitin Gadkari

The workers rally organized by Bharatiya Janata Mazdoor Mahasangh of BJP at Ramlila Maidan of Delhi today was unprecedented. More than one lakh workers from all over the country, resolved to dislodge anti poor Congress Government. The workers were coming to Delhi for the last three days. Delhi BJP had made elaborate arrangements for their lodging & boarding. There was great enthusiasm among the workers. They were raising slogans “Thakht Badal Do, Taj Badal Do – Beimano Ka Raj Badal Do”. “Abhi To Yeh Angadai Hai – Agey Bahut Ladai Hai”. “Manmohan Sarkar Kaya Hai – Lootkhor Hai-Beiman Hai” etc. Shri Nitin Gadkari, Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta, Mahasangh President Shri Prahlad Patel addressed the rally.

National President of the BJP Shri Nitin Gadkari said in the historical rally that when BJP will come to power, it will provide insurance cover, education, hospital facilities, residential accommodation and wages sufficient for living to the 43 crore unorganized workers of India. The NDA Government had taken necessary steps to provide security cover, hospital facilities, residential accommodation etc. to these workers. Just after the end of the term of NDA Government, Manmohan Government stopped the steps taken for the welfare of these people. The present Manmohan Government is completely involved in corruption. This Government has committed bungling of 5 lakh crore rupees. Had this money been spent on the welfare of these workers then one crore houses could be built. 10 crore people would have been provided free medical care. This Government is anti poor, anti workers and farmers. The people of India will dislodge this cruel and looter Government.
He raised a question to Manmohan Singh & Sonia Gandhi that what steps they have taken for the welfare of the workers of unorganized sector? About the partners of UPA Government, he told that these people are friends in Delhi, but enemies in Lucknow. They are not trustworthy. By allowing FDI in retail sectors, Manmohan Government has opened the way of downfall of the country. Capital will go out of India and crores of youth will be rendered unemployed. The companies shall exploit the farmers.

Former President of BJP Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi said that the permission for FDI in retail sector will ruin India. He told that by allowing FDI the situation prevailing in 1717 will arise in India. India will once again become slave. It will also create unemployment in the country. Labourers, farmers, poor people shall starve. We should never allow the foreign companies to enter into India.

National President of Mahasangh Shri Prahlad Patel told that BJP is committed to the welfare of 43 crore workers of unorganized sector. He will tour various areas of the country and organized these workers and ensure their rights. If BJP comes to power then the condition of 43 crore people engaged in the development of the country will improve. Party will provide educational, health, housing facilities, sufficient wages and respectable life to them.

Shri Vijender Gupta told that the condition of 43 crore workers of unorganized sector for which the Government claims to be proud, is like animals even after 63 years of independence. They build the houses for every one, but live without home for their entire life. The image of India has improved with the help of their labour, but they have been exploited the most during Congress rule. He assured the workers participating in the rally that BJP has undertaken for the welfare of 43 crore workers. It will fulfill its resolve in every condition.
Shri Gupta further told that during the rule of Sheila Government in Delhi, the workers of unorganized sectors have been exploited the most. They are shown dreams at the time of elections, but after that every thing is forgotten. Delhi is the centre of workers of unorganized sector. Here the Chief Minister has welcomed FDI in retail sector. If FDI comes to Delhi then lakhs of workers shall be rendered unemployed. Their progress will be hindered. He demanded that the monthly wages of unorganized workers should be increased to 8000 Rs. Per month from the present 4000 rupees. He assured the workers that Delhi is with them.

SarvaShri Ananth Kumar, Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra, J.P. Nadha, Dharmendra Pradhan, Vani Tripathi, Mahender Pandey, Murlidhar Rao etc. senior leaders participated in the rally today.

Under the leadership of BJP Delhi Pradesh Minority Morcha President Shri Atif Rashid hundreds of Muslims of Patparganj A.C. joined BJP in the presence of Pradesh BJP President Shri Vijender Gupta. President of BJP Minority Morcha Shri Tanvir Ahmad was also present on this occasion.

Welcoming the Muslims who joined BJP, Shri Vijender Gupta told on this occasion that the day minority section of Delhi will recognize the evil face of the Congress and come close to BJP on that day the politics of Delhi and the country will get a new directions. Congress has only exploited the Muslims emotionally during the last 63 years. This is the reason why the Muslims of India are suffering.

Congress considers Muslims as vote bank and due to this they have not joined the main stream of the country. BJP does not discriminate against the Muslims. They are also awakening gradually. They are joining BJP because they can develop only under BJP rule.

On this occasion Shri Atif Rashid declared Ch. Rizwan as the Pradesh Secretary of the Morcha. Shri Irfan Salmani, Morcha General Secretary Nizamuddin, Bilal, Maulana Qadri and other Muslim leaders were present. Morcha President Shri Atif Rashid welcomed all the guests present on this occasion.

10 lakh traders shall benefit

DISTRIBUTION OF SIMPLIFIED TRADE LICENSES STARTS

New Delhi, 22nd September. Under the resolve of the BJP to issue simplified trade licenses by the 3 Municipal Corporations to about 10 lakh traders of Delhi, camp was organized today by East Delhi Municipal Corporation and simplified trade licenses were distributed in large numbers to the traders. On this occasion BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta was present as the Chief Guest.

Addressing the Traders, Municipal Corporation Officers, Employees and Councillors, Shri Gupta said that BJP wants to start good governance in Delhi. It is the effort of the party that 2 crore people of the capital may get the services provided by the Corporation at their door step. Delhi is a big commercial centre. Trade of entire India is operated from here. The role of the three Municipal Corporations is very important in this work. It was the long demand of the traders of Delhi that they may be provided trade licenses in simplified form so that corruption and redtapism may be finished in the licensing process.

The BJP ruled Municipal Corporation started distributing simplified trade licenses to 10 lakh traders of the capital today. First of all this process was started from East Delhi Municipal Corporation. After that this process will be introduced in SDMC and NDMC to make a transparent and corruption free licensing system. Vijender Gupta writes letter to the Corporations for making the licensing process corruption free

ALL THE THREE CORPORATIONS SHOULD SIMPLIFY LICENSING PROCESS FOR PROVIDING RELIEF TO 10 LAKH TRADERS OF DELHI

In a letter written to the Chairpersons of Standing Committees of all the three corporations of the capital, BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has requested them to simplify the process of trade license for more than 10 lakh traders of Delhi and provide them relief from the corruption in the process and difficulties being faced by them. BJP is fully trying to make Delhi as the first state of the country where the traders may not have to face any difficulties in getting the trade license.

Shri Gupta told that at present there are more than 10 lakh traders in Delhi who are self employed after getting trade licenses from the Corporation. The present process of licensing is so much complicated, boring and long that it takes years for the traders to get a license. Due to this many traders become victim of corruption and the Municipal Corporation loses the revenue also. The revenue which should have been deposited in the account of the Municipal Corporation is consumed by corruption and the sword of chalaan keeps hanging on the traders.

Delhi BJP has now decided that the licensing process for the traders be freed from the corruption and complications. It should be made simple and accountable so that the traders of Delhi may do their business freely and peacefully. It will help in the total development of Delhi. The population of Delhi has gone upto 2.10 crores. Here the people get the things of daily need from the retail dealers in every lane and mohalla of their neighbourhood at fair price. The role of traders of Delhi are key to the good living in Delhi.

Tomorrow the opinion of the traders of east Delhi will be ascertained for making the licensing process simple in the presence of Mayor and Chairman of the Standing Committee of East Delhi Corporation so that the process may be simplified and made transparent. The Mayor Mrs. Annapurna Mishra and Chairman of Standing Committee Choudhary Mehak Singh shall get direct information about the difficulties being faced and the corruption in the licensing process for the traders. This way after listening to both the sides the licensing process will be made very simple, transparent, corruption free and accountable. This way Delhi will become the first state where the traders will not have to face any difficulties in getting license. Such steps shall be taken in the other two Corporations also.

TODAY’s DELHI MAHABANDH WAS UNPRECIDENTED, HISTORICAL: 50,000 WORKERS CAME IN THE STREETS, EFFIGIES BURNT ON 100 PLACES: THOUSANDS ARRESTED BESIDES VIJENDER GUPTA

On the call of BJP for Bharat Bandh today, people of Delhi observed unprecedented and historical Delhi Mahabandh. More than 50,000 workers of BJP came in the streets in entire Delhi and made the Mahabandh a complete success. Effigies of Manmohan, Sheila Government were burnt on 100 intersection of Delhi. Thousands of workers marching towards PM residence under the leadership of Shri Vijender Gupta were arrested by the police which included Shri Gupta. The people of Delhi spontaneously came in the streets and raised slogans against the Government, blocked the traffic and resolved to dislodge Congress Government.

Addressing a big public meeting at Chandni Chowk, BJP National President Shri Nitin Gadkari said that Indian National Congress has become All India Coal Congress. It has nothing to do with the people. The anti-poor face of the Congress has been exposed. Government has forgotten the path of democracy and is busy in loot. Scam of 5 lakh crore rupees has been committed during the Congress rule. Had this amount been spent on public welfare then every family could have been provided house. He demanded the Government roll back of FDI, hike in the prices of cooking gas, diesel, power tariff immediately.

The NDA Convenor Sharad Yadav told that the UPA Government has lost its right to rule the country. He had never seen such corrupt and anti people Government in his life. This Government is busy in corruption but claims to be honest. It is following the path of dictatorship. Traders leader Shyam Bihari Mishra, Leader of Opposition Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra, Vani Tripathi, Meenakshi Lekhi and many Legislators, Councillors, Pradesh Office Bearers, District Presidents courted arrest.

Before marching towards PM residence Shri Vijender Gupta told in a big public meeting in Chandni Chowk that the way in which the traders, industrialists, common man transporters, mandies, commercial establishments, schools, auto-taxi operators have given unprecedented support, is indicated of the fact that the Congress Government is not only in minority in the Parliament but has also lost the trust of the people. Congress Government has no constitutional or moral rights to continue in power even for a day. The way in which all the anti Congress political parties have supported the Bharat Bandh shows that the UPA Government has lost its rights to continue in power. He further told that the Government allowed FDI in retail trade surreptitiously and hiked the price of diesel, cooking gas only to divert to attention of the people from its black deeds. The steep hike in the power tariff has caused great pains among the people of Delhi. This Government will have to go.
The traders and the people of all the 11 districts of Delhi made this Bandh historical. The streets of Delhi looked deserted from the morning to evening. Shri Anil Soni, Advocate of Shri Vijender Gupta, State President handed over the form to the Lokayukta, who has initiated an enquiry on the same. Sheila Dikshit (on regularizing unauthorized colonies) have come up on electric poles just outside the Old Secretariat and whether any permission was sought to put up them up and if any charges have been claimed.

BJP workers will burnt effigies of Government at 100 places

Delhi Mahabandh on 20th September on the issues of FDI, cooking gas, diesel, power etc.

BJP has decided for ‘Bharat Bandh’ on 20th September to protest against allowing 51% FDI in multi-brand retail, steep hike in the prices of cooking gas, diesel and power tariff in Delhi. On this day all the industrial-commercial establishments will remain closed. Giving this information BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta & Leader of the Opposition in Delhi Legislative Assembly Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra told that the dangerous intentions of the Congress Party can be seen in these decisions. National President Shri Nitin Gadkari, NDA Convener Sharad Yadav, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Vijender Gupta and Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra will address public meeting of traders at Karol Bagh.

Shri Gupta told that the anti Indian foreign powers and multi-national companies are eying the pockets of about 120 crore citizens of the country. They want to grab the entire retail trade which is of 450 billion dollars at present. This will adversely affect 15 crore people of the country directly related to the retail trade and they will be rendered unemployed. This decision will also adversely affect telecommunication, vehicle industry, insurance, labour sector, agriculture, warehousing etc. When notorious companies like Wallmart, Tesco, Karefore, Metro AG will enter India then the livelihood of crores of people connected with retail trade will be finished. It will lead to anarchy for which the present Manmohan Government will be responsible.

Both the leaders have appealed to all the industrialists, traders, daily wage earners and 2 crore people of Delhi that they should express their anger against FDI, increase in the prices of cooking gas, diesel, power tariff etc. by closing their business. On this day BJP will burnt the effigies of Government at 100 prominent places of the capital. BJP workers will visit every street-lane, houses and apprise the people about the evil consequences of the decision of cruel and despotic Congress Government.

Shri Gupta & Prof. Malhotra told that the culture of Malls is on the decline in the world. The situation is so bad that the retail stores of Wallmart and Tesco have closed down in developed countries like USA, France, Germany, Italy, Australia, Spain, Sweden etc. In Britain the retail traders are organized to oppose the big stores of these companies. In such situation allowing 51% FDI by the back door is a controversial decision. Government should immediately withdraw it. BJP has decided to fight from the streets upto the Parliament on the issue of FDI, cooking gas, diesel, water/power etc. The Government should either withdraw its decision or resign.

Pradesh office bearers, Legislators, Councillors, District Presidents, senior workers, Morcha & Cell office bearers participated in large numbers.

In his address to the demonstrators, main speaker Pradesh Incharge Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu told that all the three oil companies and gas companies are earning profit of thousands of crores, yet the Government has hiked the price of cooking gas & diesel and fuelled general price spiral of about 25%. He also showed documents from the Committee on Petroleum affarirs as proof. Now this Government must go. He further told that the entire trade in India will be ruined if FDI in multi-brand retail is allowed. Trade in this country will come under the control of multi national companies. Even the farmers of the country shall not remain unaffected due to the FDI.

Addressing the workers, Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta told that the people are seriously wounded due to the price spiral and corruption of the Government. In spite of this the Congress Government is committing atrocities on the common man every day. Oil & Gas companies are earning heavy profit. The price of crude oil and gas is stable in the world market. In spite of this the decision of the PM Manmohan Singh, Finance Minister P. Chidambaram, Oil Minister S. Jaipal Reddy and the Committee on Petroleum Affairs to hike the price of diesel & cooking gas will have far reaching adverse affect on the 120 crore people of the country. The time has come for the people to dislodge the Congress Government.

Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra told that the intentions of Manmohan Government and Sheila Government are dangerous. The way in which they have made the common man to suffer, it appears that the Congress Governments are again following the path of dictatorship. This is the conspiracy of the Congress to finish democracy in the country. If the people of the country do not rise at this time then it will be very late. He demanded the dismissal of Manmohan Singh and Sheila Dikshit. Pradesh General Secretary Pravesh Verma conducted the programme today. National General Secretary Shri Vijay Goel appealed to the workers that they should visit every household of Delhi and finalize the agenda for the farewell of Congress Government. Shri Ramesh Chaurasia, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, Ms. Arti Mehra and many Legislators participated in it.

Traders of the country should not allow implementation of FDI –Vijender Gupta

Reacting to the decision of Manmohan Singh Government which has permitted FDI in Multi Brand Retail Trade BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has said that this Government is under the control of foreign companies and added that this decision will ruin ten crore traders of the country. Besides this it will adversely affect about 40 crore people of the country. He has appealed to all the traders and industries organizations that they should strongly oppose this decision of the government together with BJP which will completely ruin the trade of the country and Delhi.

Shri Gupta also said that Manmohan Government is fully aware of the fact that his government will not complete its full term and hence the government is taking anti Indian and anti traders decision one after another to benefit the foreign companies under the pressure of foreign forces. Now the situation of do or die is before the traders of the country. They will have to oppose this decision untedly so that this anti traders government may not be able to implement this decision taken under the pressure of foreign forces which will ruin the trade in this country. If the permission to allow FDI in retail is implemented then it will have far reaching evil consequences. The country will have to face unemployment and the trade in this country will come under the control of foreign companies.

Delhi BJP will stage big demonstration at Jantar Mantar tomorrow demanding withdrawal of steep hike in the price of cooking gas, diesel oil

BJP will stage a big demonstration at Jantar Mantar tomorrow the 15th September demanding withdrawal of steep hike in the price of diesel & cooking gas used in every household. This information was given by BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta.

He told that on the one hand the Government has made the life of the people difficult due to price rise, corruption and taxes and on the other hand despotic Congress Government has been continuously increasing the prices of diesel, petrol, cooking gas, food grains, milk, sugar, fruits, vegetables, pulses etc. The way in which the price of diesel has been increased by Rs. 5/- per liter and the price of cooking gas by Rs. 347 per cylinder w.e.f. the mid-night of 13th September, the back of common man has broken.

BJP Pradesh President told that Delhi Government is claiming to make Delhi kerosene free capital. On this pretext it has abolished the quota of kerosene for Delhi. Now a common man will have to pay 200 rupees more for a cylinder of cooking gas every month. This way the poor families will have to bear additional burden of Rs. 2400/- per year. Kerosene was the fuel of the poor people. One family consumed kerosene of Rs. 150 in the whole month. How that family will arrange for Rs. 6000 for cooking gas in a year?

Expressing her reaction to this steep hike, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has said that ‘the increase in the prices of diesel & cooking gas is justified. We should not forget that we are living in 21st century’. Shri Gupta has raised a question to the Chief Minister that does living in 21st century means that the Government may remain busy in loot and the people may not have right to live. The price of high speed diesel has been increased by Rs. 19.50 per liter.

The argument of the Government behind this price hike is that the price of crude oil has increased in the international market and hence this hike was necessary. Terming this argument as completely false, Shri Gupta has said that the Government had reduced subsidy of Rs. 25000 crores on oil & gas in the general budget 2012-13. This hike is due to that cut in subsidy. The price of oil & gas is stable in the world market. Government has also indicated that now the oil companies may be free to increase the price of petrol and diesel every month. The Government is also going to end subsidy on cooking gas from the next budget. At that time a gas cylinder will be sold at Rs. 900 in the open market.

A massive rally will be organized in Ramlila Maidan to protest against back breaking hike in power tariff

BJP Delhi Pradesh has decided to fight a decisive battle against back breaking hike in power tariff. This battle will end with the dismissal of Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. In an important meeting of the BJP it has been decided that for the next two months the BJP workers will stage demonstrations and rallies in entire Delhi against hike in power tariff. This decision was taken in an important meeting of Pradesh office bearers, District Presidents, Legislators, more than 100 councillors and other senior leaders under the Chairmanship of Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta. Thousands of people of Lal Bagh J.J. cluster stage big demonstration to protest against hefty power bills

To protest against hefty power bills more than five thousand poor citizens of J.J. cluster Azadpur staged strong demonstration at Hudson Line office of NDPL under the leadership of BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta and former Municipal Councilor Raj Khurana. They raised thunderous slogans ‘Bijli Ke Bade Hue Daam – Wapas Lo – Wapas Lo’.

Addressing the people present on this occasion, Shri Gupta told that all the three power companies are earning profit of thousands of crores. Even after that power tariff has been increased by 34% with the connivance of Delhi Government and DERC. Now the bills being served to the people are two times higher. Even in J.J. clusters bill of 5,000 rupees have been served whereas the monthly income the families living in J.J. clusters is not more than 6,000 rupees.

He has raised a question to Sheila Dikshit that how a family which earns 6,000 per month will be able to pay power bill of 4 to 5 thousand rupees. He has demanded that a fixed charge of Rs. 200 per month be recovered from all the poor families of Delhi so that these families may be able to maintain themselves. He has reminded the Chief Minister that at the time of privatization of power the Congress Government had talked about fixed charge of Rs. 170/- per month from the J.J. clusters. Now hefty power bills are being served in these clusters which is injustice with the poor families.

Former Municipal Councilor Raj Khurana told that the Congress Government is fully anti poor. This Government is working in favour of corrupt persons, touts, middlemen and profiteers. Anti poor character of the Congress has been exposed. He has demanded the Government and the DERC to immediately withdraw the hefty power bills. On this occasion the President of Lal Bagh Sudhar Samiti Gopal Sharma, Mahila Pradhan Mrs. Laxmi also addressed the people participating in the demonstration.

People of Delhi should ensure the defeat of NSUI candidates supported by the Congress responsible for coal block allocation scam, price spiral & increasing number of crimes – Vijender Gupta

The BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has said that people should ensure defeat of NSUI candidates supported by Congress Party responsible for coal block allocation scam, 2-G spectrum scam, steep hike in the power tariff, increasing number of crimes, price spiral etc. He appealed to all the parents and students of Delhi University that they should resolve to make all the four candidates of ABVP candidates victorious by heavy margin in the DUSU elections to be held on 14th September so that the regime of loot may end and a message may go to the country and Delhi that the downfall of Congress Government has started.

He told all the parents and students of the University that the way in which Congress Government has made the life of the people of Delhi difficult, no girl student, woman is safe in her house. Delhi is being called haven for the rapists. Every citizen is suffering from price rise, corruption and crimes. Congress Government is responsible for it. It is the first duty of the people to dislodge this Government. The people of Delhi, students should make the ABVP candidates victorious in the DUSU elections and ensure the defeat of all the NSUI candidates supported by Congress. By making steep hike in the water-power tariff, fuelling price rise, the Congress Government of Delhi has forced the people to migrate out of Delhi. Congress Government is playing fraud with 50 lakh people of unauthorized colonies of the capital for the last 14 years.

Shri Gupta has demanded the Delhi Police Commissioner that large number of youth from Haryana have been called in Delhi to influence the DUSU elections. These persons may pose danger to the peaceful polling. Hence only students with valid identity cards should be allowed to enter any College or University premises. The borders of all the Colleges and the University should be sealed from tomorrow so that anti social elements may not get opportunity to disturb. Delhi Police should strictly check the unruly elements coming from outside and apprehend them for deporting out of Delhi.

ABVP has declared SarvaShri Ankit Dhanjaye Chaudhary as official candidate for the post of President, A.A. Gaurav Chaudhary for Vice President, Ritu Rana for Secretary and A.A. Vishu Basoya for Joint Secretary. By making all the four names in the panel victorious by heavy margin, a message has to be given to the corrupt and anti people Congress Government that the people of Delhi have now recognized the anti people and looter character of the Congress Party. Hence all the four NSUI candidates shall be defeated and ABVP candidates shall emerge victorious in the DUSU elections.

The people of Delhi can express their acrimony by making the candidates of ABVP victorious in the DUSU elections. BJP fully supports and cooperates the candidates of ABVP. BJP will provide every possible help within the limits of law & rules to the ABVP candidates to make them victorious in the DUSU election. After the DUSU elections, Delhi Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha elections are to be held in the year 2013 & 2014. The people of the country and Delhi have decided to rout the Congress in these elections. The people have already shown their anger by defeating the candidates of Congress Party in the Municipal Corporation elections. Now is the turn of DUSU elections.

The next hearing in the case will be on 12th October, 2012. On this day the Chief Minister will have to personally appear and face the arguments of the Advocates of defendant.

The Advocates of Shri Gupta said that Smt. Sheila Dikshit has filed the complaint and hence she should appear personally on every date so that further proceeding in the matter can take place. The Metropolitan Magistrate exempted Chief Minister from personal appearance even after the arguments of the Advocates of defendant. The Advocates of the defendant took it seriously and complained to the District Judge R.K. Gaba in writing against the Metropolitan Magistrate.

On this date Metropolitan Magistrate Ms. Somya Chauhan has issued notice to the Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit to personally appear in the Court on 12th October, 2012 the next date of appearing.

CONSEQUENCES WILL BE SERIOUS IF BEEF IS SERVED IN JNU – VIJENDER GUPTA

BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has sternly warned Central Home Minister, Delhi Government and JNU Administration that if beef is served by a group of anti national students in the premises of JNU on 28th September then the consequences will be serious. The Government and the University shall be fully responsible for it.

It may be mentioned that a group of Maoists and anti national forces have decided to serve beef and pork on the 28th September, 2012 in the premises of JNU. An organisation named “JNU Foremention Committee for Beef and Pork Festival” has organized a grand party in JNU for this purpose. The members of this organization are connected with Maoists.

These people want to disturb law and order in Delhi thorough this festival. Their objective is to provoke riot and create disturbing conditions like Assam so that the conspiracy of anti Indian forces to create disorder in the capital succeeds. It is necessary to mention here that in the last session of Lok Sabha, State Home Minister Jitender Singh had replied to a question in Rajya Sabha that out of nine districts in NTC Delhi, seven districts are affected by Maoists.

Shri Gupta further told that in a confidential report of the Army Intelligence Bureau it is clearly warned that ISI, Anti Indian Terrorists Organization of Bangladesh, Maoists of Nepal and the active Maoists Organization in India have jointly decided to capture power at Centre by 2050. In order to make their plan successful, these people are taking the help of Higher Educational Institutions of India.

The objectives of these dangerous organizations are to divide India in two parts. Under these plans they have expanded their organization in many provinces. Now they are planning to do something sensational in the capital of India, Delhi so that the entire world may be attracted towards them. One of their organizations is trying to brain wash the students by getting into their unions.

In the name of Right to Eat, this organization of JNU is going to serve beef and pork in the premises of JNU on 28th September. There is great acrimony in the JNU, all the educational institutions and Hindu-Muslim religious organizations. If these people succeed in their plan then peace will be disturbed in Delhi.

BJP & RWAs to stage strong demonstration at the DISCOM Bill collection offices in Delhi

BJP and the RWAs to stage strong demonstration at the offices of all the three power companies of Delhi. This announcement was made by the BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta.

He told that the power bill which charged at the rate of Rs. 2.90 per unit are being charged at the rate of Rs. 4.80 and Rs. 6.40 per unit. This has happened because the DERC has fixed slab for power consumption and the power subsidy being given by Delhi Government at the rate of rupee one per unit. Due to this the amount being charged from the people have doubled. Their domestic budget has disturbed due to it.

If a bill being served to the common man of 600 units then Rs. 150 also recovered as fixed charges. In addition about 180 rupees is being recovered as electricity duty. Fuel surcharge is also added. This way the power companies are recovering about 500 rupees extra which is injustice to the power consumers.

Shri Gupta has demanded Delhi Government and DERC that they should abolish slab system for the common power bills and Delhi Government should be restore one rupee subsidy as earlier so that the people may not get the power shock.

He further told that 80% people in Delhi there family income of Rs. 10,000 per month. If they will spent Rs 4000 on power consumption then how will main his family. If a family consists of husband-wife and two childrens then the budget of his family will be like this. Rs. 3000 for ration, Rs. 3,000 for education, Rs.4000 for electricity, Rs. 1000 for water, Rs. 1000 on medical, transport expense Rs.3000 per month, casual expenses Rs. 1000 per month, house rent Rs. 4000 per month. This way the expenditure a common man comes to Rs. 20000 per month. The family which earned only 10000 Rs. per month how they can live in Delhi. The income of the people are not being increases, but price rise is not controlled. This anti people Government is taking such dangerous decisions that will lead to exodus of the people from Delhi. If the people leaving Delhi and will returning to their villages then the development of Delhi will stop. The industries shall also be closed into the absence of skilled workers. This will also affect the revenue and the exchequer will become empty.

BJP will start strong movement in Delhi demanding regularization of 583+784 colonies

BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta and the Leader of the Opposition in Delhi Legislative Assembly Prof. Vijay Kumar Malhotra have in a joint Press Conference announced that the Party will start a movement in entire Delhi for regularizing all the unauthorized colonies so that 50 lakh people of these colonies may lead happy life. A senior delegation of the Party will meet Central Urban Development Minister Shri Kamal Nath and demand that all the 1639 unauthorized colonies should be regularized on’as is where is’ basis without charging any fee.

Shri Gupta & Prof. Malhotra told that the Delhi Government through its order dated 4th September, 2012 has declared regularization of only the colonies which had come up on private land. The Government in its order had divided the colonies in two categories and has said that the colonies on Government land will have to pay the cost of land for regularization. Besides this the respective departments shall recover price, penalty, fee etc. from the colonies on Government land.

Government had issued a notification on 24th March, 2008 laying down the criteria for regularization of unauthorized colonies. According to this notification the lay-out plan of the colonies, fixing the boundaries etc. was to be done by the MCD, but the Government in order to take the credit of regularization made many amendments in the notification dated 24th March, 2008 and took over the work of fixing the boundaries of the colonies and only the work of lay-out plan was given to the MCD. This amending notification was issued on 6th June, 2012.

This way the Government kept with itself the work which was to be done by the Corporations. The regularization of 583 colonies on Government land has become uncertain because the Government has authorized the respective department to recover heavy fees for regularization vide notification dated 6th June, 2012. If the Government could regularize these colonies without recovering any fee then these colonies could also become regularized. When the concerned departments shall issue notification declaring the colonies to be legal according to the orders issued on 4th September, 2012, only then the Government will declared them to be regularized. This way Delhi Government has made the future of 583 colonies uncertain.

There are many conditions attached to the 312 unauthorized colonies for which incomplete declaration has been made. 50 thousand shops in these colonies are waiting for the change of land use. These shops may be sealed or demolished at any time. More than 10 lakh plots and incomplete buildings are these 312 colonies. There is no permission to construct houses in these colonies. Banks are not providing loan for the construction of houses. The Government has not acquired land for primary schools, dispensary, post office, parks, community centre, sports complex etc. Delhi Government has not forwarded lay out plan of any colony for the approval of Corporations. Thousands of crores have been spent on the regularization of these colonies, but nothing has changed.

Shri Gupta and Prof. Malhotra told that at the time of Assembly elections in the year 2008, Delhi Government had promised to regularize 1639 colonies and 1218 colonies were issued provisional certificates through Mrs. Sonia Gandhi. Now announcement has been made to regularize 895 colonies, but actually only 312 colonies have been regularized and promise has been made to regularize these 583 colonies after recovering heavy fees. BJP demands the Central and Delhi Governments that the way in which 622 colonies were regularized during the tenure of Janasangh in the year 1970-77 without charging any fee, the same way 1639 colonies should be regularized.

The poor people in these colonies are living in hellish conditions and maintaining their families. They will have to pay cost of land development fee, penalty, circle rates etc. which will be in lakhs. Government will recover crores from the colonies. Those people who may not be able to pay this amount may not get the sanction for ownership of their land. Paying such huge amount during the time of price spiral is beyond the capacity of poor people. Government should accept this truth and regularized the colonies without charging any fee. BJP demands that all the colonies should be regularized on ‘as is where is’ basis without charging in fee.

Why the future of 744 colonies is uncertain

The notification of regularization has created anxiety due to many unanswered questions among 50 lakh citizens of these colonies : will this notification will also prove to be deception – Vijender Gupta

New Delhi, 7th September. BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has said that after the issue of notification on unauthorized colonies by the Government 50 lakh people living in these colonies have become more worried.  The question before them is that will the Government allow them to construct on the vacant plots and complete the incomplete houses?  Will the Government provide all the basic amenities, community facilities, religious and shopping facilities etc.?  How will the Government arrange for additional land for all these things?  Is this notification of regularization a deception with the people of these colonies?  The people of these colonies have sought reply of Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and Central Urban Development Minister Shri Kamal Nath on the following points :

1                    The sword of sealing & demolition is still hanging on 50 thousand shops of the unauthorized colonies because at the time of changing the land use these shops were not regularized because they were in the unauthorized colonies.  What will be future of these shops?

2                    More than 20 lakh plots are vacant in the unauthorized colonies.  It includes lakhs of incomplete houses.  Will the Government allow the owners of vacant plots and incomplete houses to start construction?

3                    Whether the public sector banks and private banks can provide loan for construction work, sale/purchase of properties, trade, repair work, beautification etc. like the regularized colonies?

4                    Whether the Government has given permission for changing the land use?

5                    Whether civic amenities like public parks, religious places, community halls, markets be provided in the unauthorized colonies?  How will the Government arrange for land for this purpose?

6                    According to the present rule, the lay out plans of all the unauthorized colonies is required to be passed by the Municipal Corporation.  Why the Government has not forwarded lay-out plan of any colony to the Municipal Corporation?

7                    The CBI in its report submitted on 22nd February, 2011 found that bungling of thousands of crores has been committed in the unauthorized colonies in the name of development.  Why the Government is trying suppress this fact?

8                    At the time of elections, the Government had sanctioned 2800 crore rupees in the name of development of unauthorized colonies. This fund was to used for the construction of roads, drains, drainage of dirty water, sewer, supply of water/power and other amenities.  The work was completed on papers only.  Why the Government has not started any enquiry into this large scale corruption?

9                    When in the year 2002 the NDA Government led by Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee had made all the preparations for regularizing all the unauthorized colonies then the Congress Government of Delhi had demanded that these colonies should be regularized without demanding any fee.  Now why the Congress Government is making preparations to recover heavy development fee, penalty, price of land etc.?

10               At the time of Assembly elections in 2008 Congress Government had promised to regularize 1639 colonies, but later on it issued provisional certificates to only 1218 colonies.  Now on 5th September, 2012 notification has been issued for regularizing only 895 unauthorized colonies.  Why the Government has made the future of rest 744 colonies uncertain?

The notification for regularizing 895 unauthorized colonies has been issued in haste and without due consideration.  There is great anxiety among 20 lakh people of rest 744 colonies which includes old unauthorized colony namely, Begampur, Begam Vihar, Bharat Vihar, Nanesh Colony, Rajiv Nagar 1, 2 & 3, Qutab Garh Extension, Inder Raj Colony, Naveen Vihar, Deep Vihar, Prahlad Vihar, Gupta Colony, Shiv Vihar etc..  What will be the future of these colonies?  Is the question on the lips of every citizen of these colonies?

BRT disowned by Delhi Government

The ill-conceived and now abandoned BRT compounds citizens traffic woes : Vijender Gupta

BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has said that since the ill conceived Bus Rapid Transit System (BRT) came up, something or the other has had the BRT in news, mostly for the wrong reasons. Delhi Government’s flagship and star marked project BRT seems to have been abandoned by the authorities. Despite the fact that Delhi High Court instructed the government to allow mixed traffic which earlier used to be a dedicated lane for buses till a final order is delivered, no agency seems to be taking the onus for managing traffic on the corridors.

Accusing the current Delhi Government of dereliction of duties Shri Vijender Gupta, State BJP President said, “the BRT chaos is a reflection of the current Government’s corruption and mis handling of the entire Project. DMITS, the agency in charge of BRT has now washed its hands off saying that it not equipped to handle mixed traffic & comply with the High Court order. It seems no one wants to take the onus on the entire BRT fiasco. The Delhi Traffic Police also saysit is not responsible as it has never received any formal communication from any department regarding this. The transport department, which evidently owns the corridor, is equally clueless. As a result traffic movement on BRT has become chaotic; traffic violations rampant resulting in accidents and road mishaps.

Shri Gupta said that “The authorities are simply playing a blame game regarding the BRT corridor and this is simply inexcusable and unacceptable to the citizens of Delhi. If DIMTS ,the management of the corridor, no longer has a role ,then traffic police must be asked to take over the stretch to ensure that traffic going in opposite direction does not get mixed up in the same carriageway”.

Shri Gupta further said the hands-off approach smacks of a government that is impotent and irresponsible. It is reprehensible that the Delhi Govt has adopted this attitude simply because it has not been allowed to have its way on BRT– a project consistently criticized by the citizens of Delhi as an ill thought- through Idea. BJP demands speedy action to be taken so that order is restored on BRT which is an important traffic corridor and citizens of Delhi no longer have to navigate through this island of chaos which is potential death-trap.

Prime Minister is not fulfilling his promise to create a separate Telangana State

BJP will announce formation of telangana state just after coming to power at centre – Advani

Former Deputy Prime Minister of India Shri Lal Krishan Advani announced here today that a separate Telangana State will be formed just after BJP comes to power at Centre. On the conclusion of the three day dharna at Jantar Mantar under the leadership of Shri Krishan Reddy demanding a separate telangana State, Shri Advani said that Uttaranchal, Jharkhand and Chhatisgarh States were formed during the Prime Ministership of Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee. Due to opposition of some allies the creation of Telegana State remained pending, but now this will be given highest priority.

On this occasion, Shri Advani told that the Congress has been misleading the people continuously. Prime Minister and UPA Chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi had also assured about formation of Telengana State, but after some time both failed to fulfill their promise. Due to this there is great acrimony among the people of Telengana. When BJP will come to power, State of Telengana will be certainly formed. He further told that whenever he visited Telengana area of Andhra Pradesh, he found full support for BJP.

On this occasion, Shri G. Krishan Reddy announced that BJP will make its movement more forceful. Lakhs of workers are ready to come in the streets to fight against the atrocities of Congress Government. The sacrifices of the people of Telengana will not go in vain. SarvaShri Ram Lal, Murlidhar Rao, Bangaru Dattareye, Ranjan Reddy, Vidya Sagar Rao, Indresen Reddy, Manohar Reddy, Shri Ram Vaidre etc. also addressed the people participating dharna.

On this occasion Delhi Pradesh BJP President Shri Vijender Gupta told that Delhi BJP will fully support the movement by the State Unit on the issue of Telengana. He accused that our Prime Minister and UPA Chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi are trying to vitiate the atmosphere by putting hindrance in the formation of new State of Telengana. More than 5000 workers coming from Telengana expressed their acrimony during dharna/demonstration in Delhi which continued for three days. The police and the administration tried unsuccessfully to drive them out.
