Valmiki Samman Samaroh at the residence of Nitin Gadkari

BJP will honour the people of Valmiki community on 14th August

New Delhi, 12th August.  Encouraged by removing the word 'Chura' in caste certificates issued to the Valmiki community by Delhi Government after the strong movement of B.J.P, Valmiki Samman Samaroh has been organised by the Pradesh S.C. Morcha at the Delhi residence of BJP National President Shri Nitin Gadkari on 14th August to honour leading personalities of Valmiki community and for detailed discussions on the role of Valmiki community in the development of country and society.  In this programme the Valmiki community will also honour the National President Shri Nitin Gadkari and Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta for their great contribution to the Valmiki community.

Giving this information, the Pradesh Spokesperson Dr. Sambit Patra told that the Delhi Government had deliberately started distributing caste certificates writing insulting word 'Chura' in place of 'Valmiki' in the caste certificates issued to that community.  When the BJP got information about it then the Party took strong steps and raised the issue from the streets to Court for maintaining the honour of Valimiki community.

Panicked by the movement of BJP the anti Dalit Government of Delhi immediately stopped the use of word 'Chura' in the caste certificates.  It may be mentioned that Dr. Sambit Patra had raised this issue in Delhi High Court through a petition. In his judgement the Chief Justice of Delhi ordered the Delhi Government that all the certificates on which 'Chura' word has been written should be withdrawn immediately and new certificates be issued replacing the word 'Chura' with 'Valmiki'.
