BJP stages a big demonstration at Jantar Mantar to protest against transfer of land to Bangladesh
BJP staged a strong demonstration at Jantar Mantar today demanding return of about 700 acres of Indian land forming part of Assam to Bangladesh by the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during his Bangladesh visit recently. Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta presided over the programme.
National Vice President Ms. Bijoya Chakravorty (Assam), National General Secretary Organisation Shri Ram Lal, National General Secretaries Shri Anant Kumar, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadha, Shri Vijay Goel, BJP MPs and Legislators from Assam, Shri Chandan Mitra, Shri R.P. Singh, Smt. Vishakha Shailani, Ramesh Bidhuri, Ashish Sood, Anil Goel and many Central and Pradesh leaders participated in the dharna. Many of these leaders addressed the people sitting on dharna.
BJP General Secretary Shri Anant Kumar told the workers sitting on dharna that the UPA Government has failed both on internal and external fronts. Now this Government by transferring land of the country like India to Bangladesh has given a message to the world community that the Government of India has bowed down to a small country. Due to this the moral of the terrorists will become high. National Vice President Ms. Bijoya Chakravorty told that she is from Assam. At present the people of Assam are suffering due to Bangladeshi infiltrators, but this Government is not concerned about the interests of the people of its own country. National General Secretary Shri Vijay Goel told that the people of the country should unitedly dislodge the UPA Government because this Government is more concerned about the people of neighbouring countries.
Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta told that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has lowered the head of India in the eyes of whole world by handing over the land forming part of Assam to Bangladesh. The coming generation will not forgive Congress Party and its Government for this act. BJP strongly opposes the transfer of land to Bangladesh. It demands this anti national Government that it should immediately get back the land handed over to Bangladesh. Prime Minister should have tried to solve the problem of Chicken Neck land during his Bangladesh tour. He should also have signed agreements for deporting the illegal Bangladeshis living in Assam, Bihar, Delhi and other States of India to Bangladesh. At present a terrorist organisation named HUJI is running terrorist activities against India from Bangladesh. Prime Minister should also have made agreements for declaring HUJI as terrorist organisations during his Bangladesh visit so that the anti Indian activities in Bangladesh may come to an end. In place of taking these necessary steps the Prime Minister surrendered and entered into a shameful act to split India. One can not find such example any where. BJP strongly opposes this transfer of land.
