He has also appealed to the people of Delhi to participate in the last rites and pray for the peace to the departed soul. The crime which was committed against the victim may be committed against any one. The people have lost their trust in the Central and Delhi Government.

Expressing his grief and anger against the Government, BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has said that the irresponsible manner in which the Government treated the gang rape victim and tried to give political colour to this tragedy, the entire country is shocked. Had the Government shown its will power then the result could have been different.

The Central and Delhi Government have not learnt any lesson from this serious case. Government wants to solve the problem with only promises and speeches. At present the entire country is grief stricken due to this tragedy. The country wants strong initiative from the Government in the cases of rape & murder. But it seems that the Government is in a fix. If the Government desires it can issue an ordinance to make stern provision for punishment in the cases of rape. Perhaps it does not like to take such steps.
