COURT ORDERS FILING FIR AGAINST SHEILA DIKSHIT, CM SHOULD RESIGN IMMEDIALELY – VIJENGER GUPTA
BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has said that after dithering for about nine months, today Tis Hazari Court has ordered Delhi Police to register case of corruption of thousands of crores in the Commonwealth Games by the head of Delhi Government Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and start investigation by its Crime Branch immediately.
Shri Gupta has said that now Delhi Police should register FIR with complete impartiality and transparency against the loot of public money and take action against Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan. He said that it is the requirement of impartiality that after the orders to register FIR Chief Minister and the Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan should resign immediately so the Delhi Police may complete its investigation without any pressure.
In December, 2011, Advocate Vivek Garg had petitioned Tis Hazari Court that Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has committed corruption of thousands of crores in the renovation work of five Stadia including JLN Stadium, Talkatora Stadium, Shivaji Stadium etc. He also submitted concrete proof before the court. Learned Advocate told the court that he had submitted petition for registering case and enquiry to the Delhi Police and the Crime Branch against heavy corruption in the Commonwealth Games against Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.
Since Delhi Police was under the influence of the Chief Minister hence it did not file FIR against the Chief Minister and others. Due to this, the petitioner had to go to the court for this purpose. Even this case has been pending before the court for nine months and the Delhi Police tried to prolong it on one pretext or the other. Delhi Police had informed the court that the case has been forwarded to the CBI for enquiry. Hence the responsibility of Delhi Police is over. It may be mentioned that according to the present rules and laws only Central Government, State Government, High Courts and the Supreme Court can recommend for CBI enquiry.
Today the Court asked the Delhi Police that under which power it recommended enquiry against the Chief Minster by the CBI. The police could not answer this question. Taking serious view of the case, the court found the petition of learned Advocate maintainable. Hence the police will have to file FIR against Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan and start enquiry.
It would be proper to mention here that the Chief Minister herself had written the Central Government that the renovation work of all the Stadia written completed in 1000 crore rupees. After sometime she herself accelerated the amount to 2500 crores which is illegal according to the rules and it comes in the category of crime. The finance committee of Delhi Government has powers to sanction works upto 5 crore rupees. Projects more than 5 crore rupees are approved by the cabinet. Since the Chief Minister is the head of cabinet, she increased the amount of 1000 crore rupees to 2500 crore rupees with her signature. Now investigation will be held into this corrupt activity.
