In view of Assembly Elections announcement made for cosmetic changes
NEITHER PURE DRINKING WATER NOR GOOD TRANSPORT SYSYEM, EDUCATION AND HEALTH FACILITIES BUT THE CM IS PROMISING TO CHANGE DELHI INTO PARIS – VIJENDER GUPTA
Expressing his reaction on a high level meeting on “Beautiful and Clean Delhi” held under the chair of Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta has said that Sheila Dikshit is the Chief Minister of Delhi for the last 14 years but she could not provide pure drinking water, sufficient power, health facilities, education, transport services, pure environment and freedom from crime to the 2 crore people of Delhi. Delhi is said to be a rape capital. No one is safe here even in day time.
In view of the Assembly Elections next year Delhi Government, which is expert in misleading the people has announced to make cosmetic changes in the city but the people already recognise the anti people and corrupt face of Congress Government. They are not going to be misled by beautiful promises. The heart of Delhi Connaught Place is still dug up and the renovation works are not completed. The slum clusters, rehabilitation colonies, unauthorised colonies, villages, remote areas of Delhi do not have the basic amenities. Important area like Palam is craving for even few drops of water. Poor people are being served electricity bills of 5000 to 15000 rupees. There is no water supply but the people are compelled to pay the water bills. Will Delhi become beautiful this way?
Government has announced to regularise 895 unauthorised colonies, but it has not been able to provide any new amenity to even one colony. Villages have changed into hell. There is no transport facility to rural areas. Poor people do not find doctors or get medicine in the hospitals. There is no facility of toilets in the Government schools. Incidents of loot, kidnapping, murder, rape and children go on missing everyday in Delhi but the Government is not worried at all. Chief Minister has many times promised to make Delhi a city like Paris and Shanghai but the capital is worse than Bangladesh.
Shri Gupta further said that the Chief Minister has given directions to the concerned officers to repair and widen all the major roads of the capital, make all the street lights functional, fix signages, make the space beneath the flyovers beautiful and safe by 31st January, 2013. Shall all these works be completed within 100 days? Many works connected with the CWG held in 2010 are still incomplete. What is the guarantee that the announcements now made by the Chief Ministers shall be fulfilled?
BJP Delhi Pradesh President said that he is in favour of full progress of Delhi but he is against misleading the people. The Government says something and does something else. In view of the forthcoming Assembly Elections, Delhi Government called a meeting of Ministers S.Shri Rajkumar Chauhan, Ramakant Goswami, Harun Yousuf, Ashok Walia, Chief Secretary P.K. Tripathi and dozens of high level officials. But there is doubt that these decisions shall be really implemented.
