Second day of public movement against power tariff hike: Effigies of demons of corruption, price rise & FDI will be burnt on Dussehra

Big Public Meeting of BJP in Bawana, Effigy of CM burnt, Announcement to make the movement more forceful – Vijender Gupta 

New Delhi, 15th October. On the second day of public movement against hike in power tariff thousands of BJP workers under the leadership of BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta staged demonstration in Bawana. During this demonstration, effigy of Sheila Dikshit was also burnt and slogans were raised against the Government. People of neighbouring villages participated in large numbers in the demonstration. They resolved to dislodge the looter, worthless and anti people Government of Delhi. Addressing the people on this occasion, BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Vijender Gupta announced that the movement against power tariff hike will be made more forceful. A BJP delegation will meet Deputy Commissioner of Police demanding expeditious investigation into the conspiracy to hike power tariff on 17th October. If the action to investigate the case and punish the guilty persons is not started then BJP will stage strong demonstration at Delhi Police Headquarters. Effigies of demons of corruption, price rise and FDI will be burnt on Dussehra. 

Shri Gupta told that the Congress Government of Delhi has crossed all the limits of democratic norms. Whoever raises voice against the Government is threatened in many ways. He is also implicated in false cases. DERC, the Government and the power companies are hand in glove. The companies are looting thousands of crores by increasing the power tariff but the accounts are not being audited deliberately. BJP has lodged case against power companies, Government and the DERC so that enquiry into the conspiracy be started and the guilty persons punished. The police have assigned this work to the crime branch of Delhi Police. If this investigation is not started soon then BJP will make this movement more forceful. 

Shri Gupta further told that when BJP will come to power then it will reduce power tariff first of all. All the anti people decisions of Sheila Government will be reviewed. All the necessary amenities will be provided to the 2 crores people of Delhi required for respectable life. It will also order enquiry into the corruption by Sheila Government. 

It may be mentioned that BJP had initiated 40 day public movement in Delhi from 14th October on the issues of roll back of power tariff hike, cancelation of FDI in retail, curbing price rise and providing basic amenities on the people of Delhi. Today was the second day of this movement. Thousands of BJP workers went in the areas in and around Bawana for public awareness so that the corrupt and worthless Government could be removed. S. Shri Ved Prakash Mann, former Legislator Ch. Chandram, Neel Daman Khatri, Councillor Devendra Solanki, former Councillor Narayan Singh, Jai Bhagwan Yadav, Santosh Bharti, Ved Kumar, Satish and many other leaders participated in it and appealed to the people to drive out Sheila Government from power.
