Public movement in Sitapuri

IF FDI IS ALLOWED, COUNTRY WILL AGAIN BECOME SLAVE – VIJENDER GUPTA 

New Delhi, 25th Oct. In the series of public movements initiated by BJP all over Delhi on the issues of corruption, price rise, FDI and increased power tariffs, the party organised a big demonstration at Sitapuri today. On this occasion, BJP Delhi Pradesh President announced that the power tariff was increased in Delhi because there is criminal connivance between the Government and power companies. The proof of this fact is that in spite of steep hike in power tariff, Delhi Government has decided to provide subsidy to the power companies. 

Shri Gupta has raised question to the Government that after the directions of High Court, the Government had decided that the accounts of the power companies be audited by the CAG. This audit has not been done even after Government decision and allowed the companies to increase power tariffs although they are earning profit of thousands of crores. Now, fifty percent of the income of the people of Delhi is spent on paying the electricity bill. Government will have to withdraw its anti-people decisions otherwise it will have to go. 

He further told that Congress Government is allowing FDI in retail trade without any justification. If FDI is allowed in India then lakhs of people shall be rendered unemployed. This is for the first time after independence of India that the Congress Government is inviting East India Company in a new form. Its consequences will be that the country will have to suffer economic slavery. BJP will not allow FDI in the country and Delhi in any condition. 

Legislator Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, Pradesh General Secretary Ashish Sood, Chandraveer, Anil Sabbarwal, Kewal Vohra etc. addressed the public meeting. Prof. Mukhi told that the Congress Government is bent upon looting the people. This Government is looting the common man by both hands. Government has lost its ability to rule the country. Public acrimony is very strong. Congress will have to suffer punishment in the next elections for its misdeeds. 

Pradesh General Secretary Shri Ashish Sood told that the rule of the Government during which the people suffer cannot continue for long. Delhi Government is one of such anti-people Governments. The condition of Delhi has worsened during its 14 years rule. People will certainly punish this Government. He declared that until the power-water tariff is not decreased, the BJP movement will continue in his District.
