BJP & Akali Dal demand the Prime Miniser to ensure punishment to the guilty persons of 1984 Sikh massacre

One dozen MPs, office bearers of Shiromani Akali Dal and prominent office bearers of BJP met the Prime Minister today and submitted a memorandum demanding punishment to the guilty Congressmen involved in the massacre of Sikhs in 1984.
The people who submitted memorandum to Dr. Manmohan Singh include MPs and office bearers of BJP and Shiromani Akali Dal, SarvaShri Venkaiah Naidu, Vijender Gupta, Pradesh Vice President Sardar R.P. Singh, General Secretaries Ramesh Bidhuri, Ashish Sood, Sukdhdev Singh Dhindsa, Bibi Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Balwinder Singh Bhundar, Ratan Singh Ajnala, BB Paramjeet Kaur Gulshan, Sher Singh Dhubia, Naresh Gujral, Manjeet Singh GK, Avtar Singh Hit, Onkar Singh Thapar, Kuldeep Singh Bhogal, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Kulwant Singh Bath, Rajesh Bhatia, Rajiv Babbar, Suman Sharma, Kishan Lal Dhillodh, Harjeet Singh Gill, Imprit Singh Bakshi, Harbakshi Singh, Kanwal Singh Duggal, Babek Singh etc.

Shri Naidu told that four thousand Sikhs were massacred in Delhi alone in the Congress sponsored massacre in 1984.  Besides this more than 7 thousand Sikhs were killed in other parts of India.  The family members of deceased Sikhs and the in India and abroad are waiting for the hanging of guilty persons.  Delhi Police and Congress Government is trying to save the leaders involved in massacre.  Delhi Police had prepared chargesheet against Congress leader Sajjan Kumar in April, 1992 but it has not been filed in the Court till date.  It is well known truth that justice delayed is justice denied.

Shri Gupta told that the people of Delhi can not forget the 1984 riots and it is very painful to remember that how the massacre was committed at the instance of Congress leaders.  But most of the cases have either not been filed or closed without any investigation.  It is unfortunate that inspite of the fact that today a Sikh is the Prime Minister of India, but he could not do any thing for the family members of 1984 riot victims.

CBI is also trying to save the guilty persons of massacre.  Hon'ble Justice Vipin Sanghi of Delhi High Court passed stern orders against Delhi Police and ordered for CBI investigation into it, but unfortunately the CBI under the pressure of Government is trying to save the guilty persons just like Delhi Police.  Sikhs were hoping that a Sikh Prime Minister will take initiative to secure justice to the Sikhs, but they have been disappointed.
